Im trying to export polygons using .export(output_type=arcpy.nax.ServiceAreaOutputType.Polygons, output_features=<path>)  after solving arcpy.nax.ServiceArea(). However the resulting featureclass shows up as points. Can somebody see what I'm getting wrong? Hi, Im having trouble with the added "g_ESRI_variable", when publishing a script tool as an geoprocessing service. I see several posts on this topic, and it seems that the g_ESRI_variable should not appear if the, in my case folder, is set in the Data Store (arcgis server manager). Do I understand this correctly? In detail: I write files to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\plot. This folder is added as a Data Store. Still, after publishing the script is rewritten to g_ESRI_variable_1 = os.path.join(arcpy.env.packageWorkspace,'plot').  When manually adjusting the g_ESRI_variable_1 to g_ESRI_variable_1 = r'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\plot' the service seems to work and write files to this folder. Hi, I'm trying to update a webscene with a new Scene Layer - 3D Object (hosted). This example explains how to make a subset of the existing "operational layers" and update a new webscene using this subset and the update method on the webscene object. However, I want to add an existing layer, and for that it seems I need the json representation for this layer in a way that the webscene operational layers can handle. I have tried to use the json from the layeritem properties method. This can not be added directly. Maybe I can take parts of that dictionary and build a new that has the correct properties for the webscene, but it seems rather complex and not very robust. Is it possible, in a python toolbox, to define a parameter (arcpy.Parameter()) in def updateParameters() or somehow define parameters so that both number (of parameters) and values (in parameter) is dependent on user input in first parameter? ... View more

Hi, I'm trying to activate popup for a number of layers in a MapImageLayer which is added to a map. I have read the blogpost Earl Medina's Blog and other relevant treads. The content of the MapImageLayer changes with high frequency and I can not use one static json to update relevant properties due to changes in layer names etc. Allso I suspect that all layerdefinitions will be lost at each update of the service, not showing anything else than the top level items: {'id': '', 'layerType': 'ArcGISMapServiceLayer', 'url': '', 'visibility': True, 'opacity': 1, 'title': '<name>', 'itemId': '<id>'} So if I just want to activate the popup and choose one field to display (a field that allways exists), do i have to build the whole json for each grouplayer and layer, based on information from the service (arcgis REST api), to be able to set visible = True under ['popupInfo']['fieldInfos']?
