I've looked hard in the FlexViewer forums for any advice on how to dynamically resize the map based on widget collapse or resize, but I can't find much. Does anyone know how to resize the map layout during runtime, based on a widget's resizing or collapse? I have three widgets, fixed to the left, bottom, and right of the window. I'd like to have these collapse or resize, but I can't figure out how to get the map container to resize this when I do. I've dug deep into the core library of the FlexViewer and none of the events that seem like they'd resize the map do the job. Here's how my map tag in the config file starts: <map wraparound180="true" esrilogovisible="false" top="35" bottom="175" left="200" right="165"
initialextent="-16677000 2009000 -4819000 8330000" fullextent="-16677000 2009000 -4819000 8330000" > Basically, I'd like to change the bottom, left, and right properties dynamically based on widget resize events. One example that accomplishes this is Texas Wildfire Risk, but their code is not open and what digging I did turned up an extended proprietary codeset. The functionality is the Hide Tools button. Thanks!

I've seen bugs (NIM066689, NIM066454) filed for this on older versions of the JavaScript API, but I can't find any references for the Flex API. If I pan right (east) from the prime meridian to an area of interest, I get this extent: Extent[xmin=5981425.468412121,ymin=-1820633.600114658,xmax=16499160.560449574,ymax=3814915.621293318,SpatialReference[102100]] If I pan left (west) from the prime meridian to the same area of interest, I get this extent: Extent[xmin=-33782797.01145731,ymin=-1812093.4646948539,xmax=-23265061.91941986,ymax=3823455.756713123,SpatialReference[102100]] ...which is way, way, way wrong. I'm filtering a list of layers by current extent, so I need this to work. I saw some internal workarounds for JavaScript (http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/35509-Map-Extent-bug-with-wrapAround180?highlight=NIM066689), is there anything similar for Flex? Thanks! Tom

Is there a similar workaround to this problem for the Flex API? I get a garbage map extent after panning left through the IDL with wraparound.

I take it there hasn't been any solution to this. I'm having it badly too in the Flex API with AGS 10 dynamic services laid on top of a cache tile layer. I've tried changing the background color on the .mxd to white and none, but still have the problem. Why do all my plain lines have this terrible moiree effect and are very pixelated? See attached image.

Is there a way to have the latitude label boxes align on the left side of the map, as opposed to the right? Couldn't find a property for this.

Does anyone know of any public services (ESRI or otherwise), that would serve a multi-scale graticule layer to use with the Flex API (1.3)? Could be WMS or AGS Map Service, either way. Or...perhaps a sneaky way to easily set one up in AGS? We're still on 9.3.1.
