It doesn't look like it to me. No mention on the widget documentation. Two workarounds I can think of Zoom in on the app/Zoom in on browser. Might be hard to get all the data zoomed in, but worth a shot If they are trying to show the data, why not let them export it and have actual data to look at instead of a screenshot. Can export straight from the table.

Ok. I submitted an issue for opening the group layers by default as a setting. Fingers crossed. Please give it a thumbs up if it interests you. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/group-layers-setting-to-be-open-by-default/idi-p/1406086/jump-to/first-unread-message

The group layer needs an option to be expanded at the start. The group layer loads as closed and you can't see the map choices inside until you expand it, which means we need to expect users to know it is a group layer hiding many map options and they need to open it. As most users are not map interface experts, the only option is to write lengthy text on the group layer name instructing people to open, which is a bad workaround. See attached for a visual.

Thanks, Bern. Group Layers are great, especially the exclusive visibility. However, there is one basic omission on the settings. The group layer needs an option to be expanded at the start. Using a group layer as a workaround to not being able to have only one filter at a time on in XB. The exclusive visibility solves that, but the group layer opens closed, which means we need to expect users to know it is a group layer hiding essentially many map options and they need to open it. See discussion here. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-ideas/filter-widget-option-to-allow-only-one-filter-to/idc-p/1406057#M2493 The only option is to write lengthy text on the group layer name instructing people to open, which is a thoroughly ugly solution that I'm currently using. 'Click arrow on left to see map choices'. I'll submit an idea. This seems like a very small fix (hopefully) and an obvious setting choice to provide a great impact in our work. Thanks, Tim

If I remember correctly, disabling in Map Viewer doesn't carry through to XB for some reason. You can turn them all off at the bottom of the Map widget > Content tab. See attached. If you still need to see popup for one layer on the map, I generally use the FeatureInfo widget to essentially dock the popup on the side. You can pick a layer from the map to show in the FeatureInfo widget.

Sounds like you could use 2 clauses in your filter. Show me all Parking Spots where Floor = 2 AND all Parking Spots where Floor is blank. See attached for 2 expressions using AND in a filter.

@DickieRigdon The only mildly passable workaround is to use a Group Layer in Map Viewer. You can set that to only activate one at a time when switching. But you do have to duplicate the layer for every way you want to filter it. So a lot of legwork getting it set up. The one flaw in the Group Layer is that it won't default to open. So then you have to explain to users that they need to open it in order to see the map the way they want it. So, non-intuitive for users. I ended writing an explanation on what you have to do on the Group Layer name. So it looks stupid, but hopefully people will be able to use it better. So essentially you are using Map Layers widget filled with a Group Layer and then separate saved layers of the way you want all the filter options to appear. And not using the filter widget at all.

I just got stuck on this and gave up. I don't think it is possible. See here where people are requesting it, https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-ideas/allow-bar-chart-custom-color-by-value-in-a-field/idi-p/1159146/jump-to/first-unread-message You can do it in Map Viewer. In fact it picks up the symbology from the map automatically. However I haven't seen any way to use the Map Viewer charts. In dashboards, you can create custom color schemes.

I also need this functionality. Seems like a basic experience to allow users to switch topics/filters as opposed to making them turn everything on and off as needed. Especially for non-expert map users. Just a setting on the filter widget, Only Allow One Filter At A Time. Anyone have a solution yet?

Thanks, @UndralBatsukh The code you showed is how I'm using it now. I'm wondering if using layers created from portal have the same capability of using the definitionExpression? See my code above. Thanks. Here is an example layer, https://maps.hayward-ca.gov/portal/home/item.html?id=5663a61146c648ca9fd674b58693de47

Hi, I'm switching my layers over to hosted feature layers on our portal. I have a javascript map that consumes the data and presents the layer differently based on what user's select. The way I'm currently doing it is changing the definitionExpression on the layer based on selection. Now when I'm adding a layer from portalItem var streetPavingHostedLayer = Layer.fromPortalItem({ portalItem: { // autocasts as new PortalItem() id: "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", portal: { url: "https://xxxxxxxxxxxx/portal" } } }); The above adds the whole layer. But the below doesn't filter correctly. I can't make heads or tails when I inspect the errors. Doesn't point to my code. Can I add a definition expression, like definitionExpression: "roadname = 'CHABOT CT'"? I can't get it to work. Wondering if it doesn't work or I'm just formatting the expression wrong. If I can't do this, wondering if my best bet is to make a different view for each way I want to portray the layer and then just call the layer desired when selected by user? Thanks for any thoughts. -Tim

Ok. Good to know about Developer. Thanks for your help. Exact same setup works perfect in experience.arcgis.com. Must be some bug in Filter Widget in portal version.

That looks great. Thanks for responding. I have a bunch of questions how did you style it like that? I get no options for selected filter button style or space between buttons. Yours looks very composed and user-friendly were both of these filters on the same layer? What type of expression for the areas? Amenities? Is there any connection between the two Filter Widgets or you just dropped them on and set them up? Is this built on enterprise or experience.arcgis.com or custom developed? I think I should try on experience.arcgis.com see if they have different results there. I don't know if any of those questions matter, just trying to look under every rock. See attached for my setup on Time filter.
