Hi Guru, I have a question about Name User license configuration for ArcGIS Pro. I am following this guide https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/configure-arcgis-pro-licenses.htm Our Portal for ArcGIS, web adaptor url can be accessible externally (from internet, it is public facing url). License server is not accessible from internet, only internal network a.k.a on premises network. Portal for ArcGIS server can access to License server. I have noticed that ArcGIS pro from on premises network machine can successfully use the ArcGIS pro with name user license. But for the field workers, (having trouble connecting to vpn) cannot use the ArcGIS pro , they are getting this error when ArcGIS Pro is started. "A valid ArcGIS License Manager for your Licensing Portal could not be found on the specified host. Please contact your organization's License Administrator to ensure that your ArcGIS License Manager is running and accessible.". When I troubleshoot the network traffic between ArcGIS Pro and Portal web adaptor url communication, I have noticed that Portal has already return the user license status correctly. Based on the help link, it looks like ArcGIS Pro machine need to be accessible to the license manager machine. In theory it does not make sense for me because Portal for ArcGIS can identify the privilege when user login. Any tips? ArcGIS Enterprise version is 10.8.1 , License Manager version is 2022.1, Portal is using OAuth with Azure AD.

Hi All, Refer to this reference link : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/arcgisenterprise-tutorial , Azure sso integration with ArcGIS Enterprise. We have done it a few years ago and we got notification from Azure cloud administrator mentioned that they will be going to/require to renew the saml certificate at Azure side. What is the impact and where can I reference the process of require update for this scenario? Example: Do we just remove and upload back the xml file from the Azure side? I think Azure SSO will be affected by this action because the xml file we uploaded in portal setting page has these certificate value. Can I get advice for the update process without affecting the existing portal users/group. The ArcGIS Enterprise version we are using is 10.8.1.

Hi Diaco, I know your point but this widget panel does not obey your css style. It changed its size on widget startup by using that resize method when I cracked that Jimu engine a few years ago. So I just recalculate the content panel size dynamically upon onopen and call that resize function to update it. It does work for me that time. So I admit it is easy solution not quite proper. Proper way will be that 1. write your own jimu panel manager 2. write your own custom layout and theme with that way you can control your css properly.

Hi @diaconori , You might want to try panelmanager and widget panel resize function. Below is the sample code snippet.
var pm = PanelManager.getInstance();
var panelId = this.id + "_panel";
var currentWidgetPanel = pm.getPanelById(panelId);
//mainContent
var desiredHeight = 700;//or you can have calculated height
var desiredWidth = 900;//or you can have calculated width
currentWidgetPanel.resize(
{
w: desiredWidth,
h: desiredHeight,
l: currentWidgetPanel._positionInfoBox.l,
t: currentWidgetPanel._positionInfoBox.t
}
); PanelManager is the "jimu/PanelManager" https://developers.arcgis.com/web-appbuilder/api-reference/panelmanager.htm You can adjust that panel size on onOpen or startup event. Best Regards, Than

Hi Jonathan, We encountered similar issue and cannot perform webgisDR full backups as it try to create temp files in C:\ drive and not enough space in C: drive. Is there anyway to solve it out or any manual way of deleting those archive files, and where these are located for version 10.5.1? Best Regards, Than Htet Aung

Thank Jonathan, Didn't know that checkUrl.jsp page and this is helpful. After I tried with two services url, I used to encounter issue One might be because of cert what you mentioned as it is using local ad cert and setup locally. And another is slow ogc wms service. Below is the list of response respectively. Would like to know where to read the log?, I believe it is not from portal log folder which is configure in arcgis-logsettings.json. --------------- { "success": false, "error": {"message": "Http StatusCode: -1, Error checking resource:- https://xxxx/mapserver }
---
This service is slow, it took 30secs to response in browser, it is ogc service with token based and it has valid cert as well.
{ "secured": false, "httpStatusCode": 503, "httpStatusMessage": "HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable", "httpResponse": "", "url": "https://wms/ogc url" } Best Regards, Than

Hi Guys, I would like to check how to support multi instance for smart editor widget. One of the customers want to create multiple instances for multiple feature classes. I tried below like - 1. in manifest.json - supportMultiInstance : true 2. in widget.js - onclose event, this.destroyrecursive() to destroy the widget, but it seems to be the widget instance is not destroyed completely and jimu widget manager can still find this widget. I think, I need to do additional coding for it. Best Regards, Than
