I am not familiar with PA83-SF but if that is NAD 83 Pennsylvania State Plane South Zone (2011 adjustment) and you have GNSS setup as GCS NAD 1983 2011 then there would not be any datum transformation because they are both based on the same datum "NAD 1983 2011 adjustment". But, in order for this to work you need to have an ArcGIS Portal so that you can create your own basemap. The basemap would have to be in the NAD 83 2011 Pennsylvania South Zone coordinate system andin survey feet. Then when you collect the data with the DA2 the point saved will have the X,Y for that state plane zone in us ft. The Z will be in Meters (sorry) and be from the Geoid18 CONUS that you set in your Trimble Mobile Manager. Use arcade to display the data in the portal var xpoint = geomertry($feature).z*3.28083333333 for z. If you go into ArcGIS Pro you can add the Feature Service and add three fields N, E, Zmeter and use calculate Geometry using the appropriate property for each field: For the Field "Zmeter" the property would be point z coordinate but, this will be in meters. Then create new field "Z" and calculate that field to be equal to Zmeter*3.280833333. The N, and E fields would not need further calculations.

As the others have said you can fix this by using the developers edition of the web app builder. But if you don't want to mess with that and you have a image editor like paintshop pro, capable of producing a png image (with transparency)with your text and no background. I have others who are asking me to create these web apps for them because of little issues like these. So I did find this work around and it works. When you go to insert your PNG image containing the text you have to set the filter to show all file types because they don't have PNG on their filter list (but it works). I have a disclaimer that I am keeping in an psimage file that I created for my users to edit to change the text to whatever they want and then they just export that file to a PNG. Now they can do it themselves until this problem gets fixed. The following is a PNG file with the background transparent.

Just to be clear. The downloading problem and the blank thumbnails only happen when I use the quick report template. I have actually loaded thumbnails of the correct size. But they never show up.

I have made a list of some observations associated with the Beta 3 version of AppStudio Destop and the AppStudio Player on iOS and they are as follows (some of these have been mentioned before but I am mentioning them again because I get different results based on what computer I am using): AppStudio Desktop Notes Beta 3 Settings / Quick Properties page does not scroll correctly if at all: Office workstation--- (two monitors) Solution: I have found that draging the Settings window to my second monitor usually fixes the problem. Sometimes I have to close the setting page open it again and drag it over again to get this to work. Eventually it does. There are other threads here mentioning this problem so it is not an isolated incident. My display driver is: ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series version 8.970.100.7000 Resolution of monitors set at 1280 x 960 Home Computer--- (One Montitor) 1920 x 1080 resolution (AMD Radeon R7 200 Series). I never have a problem with the setting / properties window not scrolling on this pc. I have a hunch it has to do with resolution and scroll bar interface calculations. Perhaps others can post replies as to whether they are or are not having this problem (either way report number of monitors and resolution and perhaps video card info). Quick Reports: Downloading App to the iPhone or iPad using the Player App: The iOS player displays downloading and runs up to 100% but then it stops and message does not go away. I close the player app and open it again to solve the problem. The downloaded Appstudio app will then be there and will run. Notes: iPhone 5 64 GB with iOS version 8.4, iPad (v3) 64 GB with iOS version 8.4 Downloading App to AppStudio Desktop: I only have a 64 bit version of this application on my Office workstation and on my Home PC but I have the same problem as I have on the iOS AppStudio Player. The downloading runs up to 100% and then freezes. Have to close the AppStudio application and start it again. The app that was downloaded will then work as it was downloaded 100%. See image uploaded Thumbnail image: Thumbnail does not show up in the desktop app or the player app (in iOS) I don't know about Android. When you log in to your orginazation account and the app has not been loaded on the device yet you will see the thumbnail image. After you download the app the application Title will be displayed but with a blank thumbnail. (See attached images). Maximize Window: Office Workstation --- Maximize and return to normal window works fine on Office workstation Home Computer --- Maximize the AppStudio Window. If you maximize the AppStudio Desktop window you will not be able to choose between the different apps. But if you double click the app that is already selected as if to "Play it" in Player it will play and then you can go back and forth between the different apps you have. If you return the the reduced window size you will still be able to move between the apps until you maximize again then it will not until you double click the one selected to start it. Here you can see blank thumbnail in the Desktop Application and you can see the Download info stuck at 100%. This only happens to when using the Quick Reports. Blank thumbnails in IoS (the download freezes in iOS Player as well).

I have had the same problem with the settings properties not scrolling. If you have two monitors open the settings and the tab you want to look at and then move it to other monitor. That makes it work for me. If you don't have two monitors I am not sure what to do. I move it from a higher resolution monitor to my slightly lower resolution monitor.

I do like the mobile app on the iphone, that displays the Items I have selected in the Planner app I am using on my PC. It is the PC Planner that is very hard to work with. After you select an agenda Item it resets the position in the left pane back to the beginning so you will need to re-scroll to the point you were previously at when you proceed to find your next choice. Look for the purple shaded item (your last selection) so you don't have to read through them all again.

I have been waiting for a long time for the agenda / planner to become available. Today I noticed that it is out there now and showing up on the mobile app as well. I have to tell you that this version is VERY CONFUSING and very SLOW! It is not very intuitive. For instance you have to click on the star near the top of the page to schedule that to your planner. But it takes so long for it to actually select it that you wonder if it is working or not. You have to scroll through the list of classes in the left hand pane that is only a couple inches wide. When you select a class to look at it shows the details for that workshop in the right hand pane. Takes a while for it to show up. I would rather just have the old PDF versions like back in the late 90's early 2000 etc.

Yes adding to the host file does work and I used it at first as a test but it requires visiting every ArcGIS workstation and with over 50 installs that is not feasible. that modification requires administration permissions and our users do not have that kind of permission to make the changes themselves. So I have a workstation using the old server name in my office (which is not a problem) and is a solution for entities with a lot of ArcGIS users and an enterprise database. All our users know how to fix broken datasources as long as MXD will load so that is not a problem.

Yes, I too wrote some arcpy to remap the files in my area. But there is too many users now to go around and have everyone go through the process. So I will just keep my test workstation named like my old server for a few years. I wonder if they will fix this problem. You would think it would just act like a broken connection and time out and give the red exclamation marks. Thanks, Glad to know I am not alone.

Last year we upgraded our GIS servers SDE SQL Sever and ArcGIS Server etc. We kept our old SDE server up for a couple months during the transition So the new server had a different name. Here is the lesson learned. When you shut down the old server everything will seem to be fine until somebody in one of the departments decides they need to look at a MXD from a couple years ago and it had not been updated with the new connections for the new server. The MXD hangs for ever and will not open at ALL!!!! I figured it would open but give red exclamation marks showing the broken connections. But they will not ever load. Luckily still had the server and switched it on without it being connected to our SAN (no database) but plugged into the network. The mxd's loaded and we are amble could fix the connections. I have a couple workstations in my office I use for testing so I renamed the workstation to be the same name as the old server and changed the IP address to be the same as old server and then shut down the old server. That works and just takes a little bit longer because of the broken connections. For some reason the problem is not being able to find the server name or IP address.. So, if you are getting ready to replace servers, keep this in mind!!!

For me I would: Use Latitude and departures as long as you are using something like state plane coordinates. 1) get coordinate of start of road. 2) determine the azimuth of the road 0 - 359.9999 degrees 3) Cos of the azimuth * the distance from beginning of road is what is called the Latitude (algebraic difference in Y). 4) Sin of the Azimuth * the distance from the beginning of the road is what is called the departure (algebraic difference in X) 5 ) Add the latitude (keeping the sign in tact) to original Y coordinate from step 1 6) Add the Departure (keeping the sign in tact) to original X coordinate from step 1. Note Latitude mentioned above is not a geographic Latitude. In example above calculator set to Degrees mode and not Radians. or Create a line feature class. Go into edit mode and add a line with the first vertex of line being the beginning of the road. Then moving mouse to a point on centerline of the road somewhere beyond where you think the point will be and then right click and pick direction and just accept the bearing that it shows. Then right lick and pick distance and enter the distance. If you id the end of the line you just drew you will have your coordinate.

Mike, none of those solutions solve the problem. I have a Winter road condition map as the snow plow drivers clear portions of the road he radios in his progress the lines are then updated. There are 30 to 50 drivers plowing the highways each calling in their progress the data is changing constantly a tiled map to go along with an editable feature services is not realistic. The reason a lot of users want to use the hosted feature service is because they don't have access to ArcGIS Server. If they did they probably would not NEED ArcGIS Online for Organizations. I brought this problem up to ESRI staff at the last three User conferences and to the staff of the Minneapolis office many times. It is the ONE thing holding us back from using ArcGIS online. I could not believe it when I heard the following at this years User Conference: ArcGIS Online Achieves Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Authorization and Accreditation They need to read this thread.

It works on my end. You stated that "there can only be one definition for a hosted service"... You are not disabling editing on the service in the service properties, but rather within the web map properties. So you save the map with editing enabled. Next disable editing and then 'Save as' the web map (not the service itself) with a different name. It is not really "working on your end". If your hosted feature service is set to editable and is shared publicly Anybody can find and edit your hosted feature service by adding it to their map and setting up their map to edit it! If you have a road closure map and you think just because the map the public sees has editing disabled that the road closure service is safe. Then all the sudden all your roads are set to closed because some one found your service and started playing around with it. Until ESRI allows editing publics shared hosted feature services for users of a specific group, your service will never be safe from pranksters.
