Unfortunately, a spatial join, on its own, won't work. However, if I have an intermediate layer it will, which ultimately may be the best solution. Essentially, I am trying to do a modified version of what John Nelson did a couple of years back to show cumulative drought intensity. I have gathered U.S. Drought Monitor weekly data from 2001 to 2020. I have then divided the data into five year increments--2001-2005; 2006-2010; 2011-2015; and 2016-2020. I then merged all the data from the each of the five year blocks to create a composite layer. Lastly, for visually purposes, I use U.S. Drought Monitor colors for D0 to D5 with 99% transparency to create a really cool visualization. Works great...except there are thousands of features in each layer, it renders slows, and it takes up a lot of storage. I am wanting to use it is a web map, so it is far from optimal. As a work around, I create a tesselation, then can spatially join the composite layer to it, so each hexagon gets a summed value. It works, but I was hoping to get rid of that intermediate step.

I have hundreds of overlapping polygon layers, the features of which do not typically match. I would like to find functionality similar to Count Overlapping Features or Union, but that returns a sum of a particular field. So, if one polygon has a value of 10 and it is spatially coincident with another layers feature that has a value of 12, and another with a value of 3, etc. The output would be the union of these features with a summed value of 25 or whatever. Anyone know of a tool that can do this?

Unlike the "regular" buffer tool, the pairwise buffer does not include Side Type and End Type options (e.g. Full, Left, Right, and Exclude Input the input polygon from buffer for side type and round or flat for end type). Please include these.

I think this takes me back to square one. I was originally trying to edit the Hub site but unable to do what I had intended to do. Of course, I have limited my editing as to not messing anything up that is currently functioning, but perhaps I need to take a more aggressive approach.

Thank you. I have found one of the auto-generated groups and the links appear to be correct. Any further suggestions? Thanks again.

To begin, a caveat. I am a seasoned ArcGIS user, but have not developed a Hub site myself. Short background: The organization for which I work has a ArcGIS Hub site that serves as a GIS data warehouse for Oklahoma. The individual who developed it has left our organization for greener pastures and those within our organization typically just update the data content and do not need to make additional changes to the site. However, the other day, it was brought to my attention that there were a number of dead links on our pages. For instance, on this page, all of the links under "You may be interested in" are "broken." Frankly, I do not know why this section is even here since the same data can be found above under Layers. And those links work. (But that's another story.) Hovering over the link, I see it is missing the layer id, for instance, instead of https://csagis-uok.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/ff855151b13f4b9bb6188e46960bc025?layer=11 it is merely https://csagis-uok.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/ff855151b13f4b9bb6188e46960bc025. I thought this would be a very easy fix--just go to the page and update the links. I was wrong. For the life of me, I cannot even access the page to edit (I can get to the page to edit the metadata, but not the page content itself). (BTW, I should mention that I have the content creators login and I am logged in as her.) Again, not knowing much about Hub sites, I suspect this content is dynamically created, but I really don't know. I would really like to fix this issue, though. And there are 77 counties in Oklahoma and it appears each of our county pages has this problem. Any guidance (your own tips, links to online resources, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is as I suspected. While I am not adverse to change (especially in software, which is to be expected), it is a bit of a disappointment because I have been managing these resources for much longer than the ability to publish to a portal with ArcGIS Pro has been available. At the end of the day, though, I can accomplish what needs to be accomplished, so there's that.

I am wanting to publish a map service to ArcGIS Server. This should be straightforward and easy, but I am encountering some issues. I am assuming the answer is as simple as "well, now that this is a federated server, this is no longer an option, too bad for you." In ArcGIS Pro, I have established a connection to the server, but when I write-click on it in Catalog, Publish is not an option. According to this article, “[t]he Publish command is only available on ArcGIS Server connections to stand-alone servers with privileges to publish services.” This shouldn't be a problem because I am an administrator. Further, the article states, "[i]f the Publish command doesn't appear on the server context menu, click Properties. On the ArcGIS Server Connection Properties dialog box, make sure Type is set to Publisher Connection or Administrator Connection. You must have permission to publish services; if necessary, provide an appropriate username and password." However, if I write click, I am unable to make this change: Interestingly, though, I have an old ArcGIS Pro project in which I have a server connection that has the Publish option. However, when I right click and select Publish, I get the following: I decided to check my status in Server--as noted, I should be an admin. In server, I receive the following: So, I log into the portal, and sure enough, I am an Administrator: Of course, I can publish to the Portal, but when it does this, it puts the service in the Root of the server rather than in the nice, tidy folders I long-ago created (and moving them seems to be a big hassle). Also, it will not let me override an old service that was created before federation, I have to completely recreate it. So, is this a "too bad for you" situation, or is there a work-around with a federated server? Thanks.

I work on several different computers (desktop and laptops) and encountered this issue both where ArcMap was installed (desktop) and not installed (laptop). I do not use ArcMap much anymore, but I will give this a test sometime today to see if it crashes on me, as well. I think I have 10.8 installed (but will need to double check).

I tried this and then received an error message for the first time indicating the x64 driver wasn't installed. Perhaps, because I was doing so many uninstalls/reinstalls/silent installs, etc., I managed to forget to reinstall the x64 driver first. At the end of the day, it's "working" but is painfully slow.

It is working now after many uninstalls, reinstalls, restarts, etc. I don't know what did the trick. It is nonetheless painfully slow.

Despite having installed every conceivable driver, I am still having issues with Excel in ArcGIS Pro 3.x. I go to add a table and it just spins and and spins and spins and never shows the table. Yes, I have installed: Microsoft .NET 6 Desktop Runtime x64 Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable 64-bit drive .NET 6 Desktop Runtime Windows x86 I have even tried to install the 32-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable driver, but get a setup error message that I cannot install the 32-bit version because I currently have 64-bit Office products installed. And I have restarted my computer--repeatedly. I have wasted hours of my life trying to get this to work. At this point, I am beyond frustrated and am a bit livid. What gives?

Ah. Nice. Thank you. I have accepted this, though I haven't successfully implemented yet. I feel like I am getting close, but could use extra guidance (very much a newbie to Make). First, here is a screenshot of my scenario: And for my filters, I have the following: and However, it doesn't run and the log says: The bundle did not pass through the filter. Obviously, I have not setup my filter correctly. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
