Matt, I recommend that you avoid using console.log alone to output the content of objects as a whole. This will only work with console.log happens to do the right thing, and you won't know for sure that it worked because you don't know how the object was converted to a string. In this case, the output string seems to be an internal-use string representing that object instance. It's best to take complete control and be explicit in type conversion to strings. For objects that have a property containing its JSON representation, you can use console.log(JSON.stringify(myportalobject.json)). For objects that don't have a JSON representation, you can console.log a member of the object, appropriately converting to a string before using it in console.log. TAD

Norbert and Troy, Keep those suggestions coming! We appreciate your feedback. As Luke mentioned, we created a new issue to fill in the missing units doc in GeometryEngine::densify. Also on our radar is putting the spatial relationships diagrams from the v10.2.x Geometry Operations topic of the v100.x Guide. Norbert, Greetings from Redlands. While the ArcGIS Runtime APIs are built atop Runtime core and provide consistent functionality across supported platforms, the toolkits serve another purpose. The toolkits provide auxiliary functionality that is apart from the APIs. For example, prior to v100.2, the toolkit provided with the ArcGIS Runtime Qt API provided functionality (like file system access) that was not in Qt QML (from the Qt Company) but was sometimes needed to write apps using just QML. The ArcGISCompass tool is for use with your Qt Quick UI implementation when you write a C++ app with a QML UI. Under the covers, the ArcGISCompass tool is implemented using ArcGIS Runtime for Qt C++ API because the C++ API is the one you use in this type of app. (The QML and C++ APIs cannot be used together in the same app.) Here's a simple example of its use in a QML UI. import Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Toolkit.Controls.CppApi 100.2 // . . . I see what you mean. In my tests on Mac OS X, I see the QML load error "Invalid property assignment: color expected" before the program terminates. I'm not sure why you are not seeing that on Windows. That message is generated by Qt's QQmlApplication::load method using qWarning. I looked at this in the debugger. (You have the template source and if you like you can do this, too.) The program terminates when the C++ code ignores the failed QML load and tries to access the root component in the QML, which is not there because of the QML load error. We will look into this more closely to see what can be done to address it in a future release.

Bhargav Kumar K, We agree this is useful functionality and should be included if possible. We have added import and export of WKT and WKB to our plans for an upcoming release. I cannot say when this will be delivered, and plans can change, but look for it in a future release. Thank you. TAD

Bhargav, You can get the WKT of a spatial reference https://developers.arcgis.com/qt/cpp/api-reference/class_esri_runtime_qt_1_1_spatial_reference.html#ae08a88cb162eda72d3f4310f984f6215 . However, you cannot get the WKT of a geometry at this time. We have been talking about this internally. Can you please let us know you use case for this? Thanks. I don't know about viewshed 2 analysis. Perhaps someone can chime in about that. -- TAD

Taner, I re-read your posting. Instead of the side of the polygon, you are asking about figuring out on which side of the polyline the point falls. As Lucas mentioned, this has everything to do with the point order of the polyline and the closest approach of that polyline to the point. Hopefully, someone in the community has a favorite algorithm to offer.

Taner, The best way to start is to decide what is meant by left side and right side. Is the meaning as simple as whether the point is left of the center line? If so, just find the x value midway between the x-min and x-max of the polygon, and compare the point's x value to that. But note that this is not perfect. The corner point below marked Right of center might be considered by an observer to be on one of the left sides of the polygon. Or, is it most sophisticated? The key is defining what the terms left side and right side mean.

Ranier, Sorry, not through the renderer. You cannot bind the color property of a shared symbol to varying attribute values of individual graphics. You could instead create a new symbol for each graphic, where the color of the symbol is based on a graphic attribute.
