Hello Adrian, Thank you so much for your response and also for the link. Hopefully, someone from Esri will see this bug and respond with a workaround solution because we have many maps with similar symbology properties and I don't want to go back to the classic map viewer.

Hello! We have different similar features that we have grouped together in symbology to show as one general symbol for all features in the map. It works fine with no issue in classic map viewer but when I bring the same layer to new map viewer, all grouped features are automatically ungrouped in the layer list ( attached image 1) and are shown correctly in Legend List (attached image 2). Has anybody else noticed similar behavior with new map viewer and I am curious if this is a bug in new map viewer. Any suggestion will he highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello Shan, I followed the steps from the technical documents and the basemaps are now back in Portal, Pro and ArcMap. Thanks for providing those links. Sunita

Hello, I created a web map using our own basemap in portal. Currently we are in ArcGIS enterprise 10.7.1. Maps were created more than a year ago and now when I try to add ESRI base map, they are missing from the basemap gallery. Has anybody ever faced a similar problem and was able to solve it? Thanks in advance for your time and suggestion. Sunita

Hello Mark, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question. I actually do not have a field in my data to store the URL and instead, images/documents are uploaded to a folder on our server with and the link is then inserted into the pop-up. It is more like one-to-one relation and all assets that don't find an image/document throughs 404 error. I like the idea of creating a custom message for all assets that do not have images or documents. I am quite not sure how to do it, but I would like to explore that. I will post the solution if I figure out how. Thanks again, Sunita

Hi! I have a folder in the server machine that has all the additional pdf documents associated with a few assets. I have no problem displaying the document either as a link or as an image when this document exists in the folder. But the problem is not all assets have additional documents and when I click the link of those assets, I get a server error 404 message. Is there any way I can customize the message showing 'No Additional document available for this asset' instead of the default message? If yes, where should I add that? Thanks in advance for your time and suggestion. Sunita

Were you able to find the solution? I am having the exact same issue. All my setups are in different virtual machines and all these components including the service account have write permission to the shared location path, but I keep getting the same error. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Sunita

I am answering to myself and posting the code that worked for me so that it might help someone with a similar issue. I replaced ListFeatureClass by Walk function and made some other slight changes and it worked by inserting all new records from the source feature classes to the target feature classes. Feature classes in both GDBs have the same name. import arcpy import os sourceGDB = r"Path to source GDB" targetGDB = r"Path to target GDB" walk = arcpy.da.Walk(sourceGDB, "FeatureClass") for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in walk: for fc in filenames: # print fc sourceFc = os.path.join(sourceGDB,fc) # print sourceFc targetFc = os.path.join(targetGDB,fc) # print targetFc if arcpy.Exists(targetFc): # print fc # Create Field list fieldList = ["Handle", "SHAPE@", "Layer", "Linetype"] # Create Search and Insert Cursor curSource=arcpy.da.SearchCursor(sourceFc, fieldList) curTarget=arcpy.da.SearchCursor(targetFc, fieldList) curInsert=arcpy.da.InsertCursor(targetFc, fieldList) # Create a list of rows for target layer curS_list=[row[0] for row in curTarget] # Iterate through rows of source and target cursor and insert rows into target from source if they don't exists in target featureclasses for row in curSource: if not row[0] in curS_list: curInsert.insertRow(row) del curInsert, curSource, curTarget

I have created two geodatabases: Source GDB and Target GDB. Databases are basically copies of one another. Source GDB featureclasses are exported Directly from CAD whereas Target GDB contains feature classes that must be updated daily with new records from Source feature classes using search and insert cursor. I was able to do this with a single-source feature class to a single target feature class and now I am trying to figure out how to update the entire list of target feature classes by using search and insert cursor. In the code below I am trying to loop through both the Source and Target GDB, and if the source and target GDB are equal then create a search cursor for both source and target featureclass and insert a record if they do not exist in target featureclass. I get no error messages but my target featureclasses are not updated. Any suggestions on what and where I am missing would be of great help. import arcpy from arcpy import env import os import sys arcpy.env.workspace = targetGDB = r"Path to Target GDB" targetFC = arcpy.ListFeatureClasses() arcpy.env.worksapce = sourceGDB = r"Path to Source GDB" sourceFC = arcpy.ListFeatureClasses() for target in targetFC: # print (targetGDB, targetFC) for source in sourceFC: # print (sourceGDB, source) if target == source: curTarget=arcpy.da.SearchCursor(target, ["Handle", "SHAPE@", "Layer", "Linetype"]) curSource=arcpy.da.SearchCursor(source, ["Handle", "SHAPE@", "Layer", "Linetype"]) curInsert=arcpy.da.InsertCursor(target, ["Handle", "SHAPE@", "Layer", "Linetype"]) curS_list=[y[0] for y in curTarget] for row in curSource: if not row[0] in curS_list: curInsert.insertRow(row) del curInsert, curTarget, curSource

Hello Everyone, I created custom print service to print my web map developed using web app builder developer version 2.1.3. I tried printing my map with all layers turned on using pdf, jpg and png format. PNG and JPG have no issue in displaying all legend symbol but for some strange reason, pdf format drops symbols of last column (first image below). I am curious if anybody else had the same issue and if they were able to fix it. # Thanks, Sunita
