We have a setup having ArcFM Designer with ArcGIS desktop implementation (10.6.1). For the purpose of SIT, we want to automate the entire testing process. This will include but not limited to the following:- 1. Create CUs in Designer and navigate to the map 2. Place CUs, navigate to map and editing capabilities 3. Standard ArcMap Editing Options - ArcFM Designer We are currently using TestComplete in our organization for all Test Automation activities. Is it possible to implement ArcGIS Desktop/ArcFM with TestComplete or suggest an alternative platform for automated testing in such a scenario?

Well there are a few complex stuff to deal: 1. The DB has ArcFM implemented 2. The database objects are in Geometric Network 3. Few feature classes have more than a couple of million records, and these FCs have tables related to it. So copy/paste may hang the system 3. Source version Oracle 12/ArcSDE 10.2.1- target Postgres/ArcSDE 10.8 I am contemplating one of the following options:- 1. Use FME 2. Convert source data to FGDB, then move to target Postgres 4. Use ArcPy (Append/copy/load) tools 3. A combination of all the above options Please advise

We are planning to conduct a prototype to migrate data from Oracle to postgresql. Is there any standard guidelines/documentation available for the migration? This would not only include the data, but migrating the user roles, privileges, logins etc. any standard guide outlining the best principles would be helpful The target version of ArcGIS would 10.8 (current version ArcGIS 10.2.1). We will have ArcFM in the existing and the target environment

The last version of the Capacity Planing spreadsheet that I can find in Wiki is from 2019. Has there been update after that? Where do I find the latest updated spreadsheet? Need latest AWS support in t2 and m5 platforms, which is missing in the 2019 update. We used to follow the CPT spreadsheet for laying out system design strategies. Is it still an option now?

Not the database, even the tablespaces have to be in lower case. I took care of the database, but missed out on the tablespace name. Also the error message was pretty cryptic, took a while to understand what the real issue is.

Got the problem resolved. The issue with PostgreSQL is that everything in the DB should be in the lower case. ArcGIS does not accept upper case and mixed cases. In my case my tablespace was named as GIS_DATA. Changing it to gis_data and restarting the service got rid of the problem. Not sure whether this would classify as a bug.

I am using the Create Enterprise Geodatabase tool to create a Geodatabase in postgreSQL. The tool fails with an error Error creating database. [ERROR: Failed to create postgres database gisdb (-1015). Error: The Object being referenced does not exist (-1015). ] Failed to execute (CreateEnterpriseGeodatabase) I am using ArcGIS 10.5.1 Desktop for connecting to the database and postgreSQL version is 9.4.8. I have downloaded the postgreSQL DB from the Esri web site. I am able to connect to the database from the system where ArcGIS Client is installed through pgAdmin, so connection is not an issue. I have copied the st_geometry dll files in the required directory as well, so that should not be an issue. I have tried all possible options, with no luck, any idea what am I missing here

I have a table in DB2, which is not a geodatabase. While I am trying to migrate the table in a Geodatabase (File or Oracle/ArcSDE), using Copy/Table to table (or even tried the append tool), one of the fields in the DB2 table does not come through. On checking I found that the ArcGIS identifies the data type of this field to be FID/Object ID in source. Any work around on how do I get this field migrated?

Hi I know that from ArcGIS Server Version 10.1 and Silverlight 3 onwards, the ArcGIS Server dynamic map services supports the ability to change the rendering and order or layers on the fly. Is this functionality available in JavaScript API s as well. I am fairly new to this area and any kind of help will be appreciated
