Hi all, Not entirely sure if this is possible, but here it goes: I am doing some cost distance analysis for a proposed walking track, using a high resolution DEM (1m) and various other datasets. As a part of the criteria, the slope cannot exceed 15 degrees. I have calculated a Slope raster for the study region, and imposed a condition of <=15 degrees. According to the output, there are no areas that fit the criteria (due to the nature of the Slope calculator, using the maximum difference in height between neighbouring cells to calculate slope). However, everyone knows that it's possible to build 'switchbacks' in a walking track that will reduce the severity of slope, but still get you from A to B. Does anyone know of a way that I could incorporate switchbacks (i.e. zig-zags across the terrain) so the slope <=15 criteria is still met? Any thoughts are appreciated. Cheers, Jack
