Stephen, Yes does seem to be the way things are going and I am happy with the Creative Cloud concept however in this case it appears that you are buying a product outright (i.e ArcMap + ArcGIS Pro) however it stops working if you dont pay maintenance. This is a completely different concept and as far as i'm concerned quite worrying. It would be great if someone from ESRI Inc could clarify the situation as I must say the paradigm shift has not been explained well (and based on this thread understood well!). Cheers, Stuart

I assume your using a version of ArcGIS Server other than 10.3. This was a bug resolved in the latest release (should make the logs a bit more usefull!) Cheers, Stuart

Thanks Peter, That helped me find the issue which was an entry in the bottom of /etc/hosts that looked like this: 127.0.0.1 cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au Removing the entry fixed the issue.

Hi, We have a 10.1 linux ArcGIS setup with two machines as part of a cluster. This has been functioning well however yesterday in order to backup the site we removed both machines from the cluster (cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au and cradle12d.thelist.tas.gov.au), backed the site configuration up and then created the site using the original site configuration and added the other machine to the cluster. This worked fine with the exception of the cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au machine now being recorded in the site configuration (machines) as LOCALHOST. We have since tried creating the site on both nodes and adding the other node, this still results in the incorrect hostname for cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au. Prior to the backup the machine name AGS was using was cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au. I have confirmed that the linux hostname is correct (cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au) and also the value recorded in postinstall.dat is correct (cradle11d.thelist.tas.gov.au). Has anyone experienced this behavior and/or deos anyone know where AGS server would be picking this hostname up from. Thanks, Stuart Fletcher
