Hi, Has there been a definitive listing of the limitations of Export Web Map yet? Specifically, I'm having trouble exporting a map that contains a graphics layer symbolized using a unique value renderer. I'm getting a similar error: Error executing tool.: Layer "graphicsLayer2": Field 'pointType' not part of schema for this feature collection. Where the field 'pointType' contains the value to be rendered on. Thanks! Jill Jill, did you ever resolve this? I'm experiencing the same problem. Steve

The issue had a couple items associated with it. First off, the layer I was selecting features on was not visible at the scale of the map I was starting with, and I determined that if I zoomed into a scale that turned my layer on, it worked. However, a larger issue it uncovered is related to the generalization of features. The shape of the selection varied based on the scale of the map, that is, if I was zoomed in closely when I started the selection process, the feature shape was more accurate. If I started the operation zoomed out a bit further, the selection shape was generalized. I'm working around this by first querying for the feature using a QueryTask, then zooming to the results geometry. Then I perform a second operation to select the feature. It works every time now. Not sure this is a great solution but it works. Steve

Turns out it did work fine, I'd forgotten to set: query.returnGeometry = true; Proxy page works fine in MVC4. Steve

Does anyone have any more experience with this in MVC4? I need to implement the proxy to perform buffers and spatial queries using polygon geometry. I can successfully run my code against a single web map HTML page, but now I need to integrate into my MVC4 project. I added the proxy.ashx and proxy.config to the root of my project, it dies on the geoServer.buffer. Below is the code that works in the standalone page but not in my MVC app. Does anyone have any ideas? In init function: esri.config.defaults.io.proxyUrl = "/proxy/proxy.ashx"; In partialview: geoService = new esri.tasks.GeometryService("http://<domain:port>/arcgis/rest/services/Utilities/Geometry/GeometryServer");
bufferParams = new esri.tasks.BufferParameters();
bufferParams.unit = esri.tasks.GeometryService.UNIT_METER;
var bsr = new esri.SpatialReference({ wkid: 102100 });
bufferParams.bufferSpatialReference = bsr;
bufferParams.outSpatialReference = bsr;
bufferParams.geodesic = true;
bufferParams.distances = [-4];
var geometry = geoPoly.geometry;
bufferParams.geometries = [geometry];
geoService.buffer(bufferParams, function (result) {
var graphic = new esri.Graphic(result[0], selectionSymbol);
var bufferGeometry = graphic.geometry;
zoningQuery.geometry = bufferGeometry;
zoningQueryTask.execute(zoningQuery, showZoningResults);
}, onError);

I did and as far as I can tell, it's null. There's definitely no indication of 1/1/1970. I've logged an incident with technical support and will await word from them. Thanks, Steve

I may be missing something. I can use setAttributeToNullForKey, but instead of setting the value to Null, it reverts to 1/1/1970. To add some more info, I'm using ArcSDE 10.1 on SQL Server 2012. To add to the confusion, I can add a feature in ArcGIS Desktop and the date field defaults to NULL, but when I add (or edit) the feature through my iOS app, the date gets set to 1/1/1970. This wasn't the case with iOS SDK 2.3, it appeared when I upgraded to 10.1. I'm attaching a small screen shot from ArcCatalog to show the issue.

Nimesh, I've run into a problem since upgrading my iOS SDK to 10.1.1. Now I cannot clear out dates using setAttribute:[NSNull null]. Also, when adding features through my app, all date fields are defaulting to January 1, 1970. I've tried the new setAttributeToNullForKey: but that didn't work either. Any idea what could be happening with my date fields after upgrade to 10.1.1? Thanks, Steve

One of the new features of SDK 2.2 is support of WMS services. Are there any examples for accessing these services? Or even documentation?

I'm working with an attribute value of field type DATE. I can successfully utilize a DatePicker to edit the field, however I'd also like the functionality to delete the value. I can provide the same functionality on a TEXT field by sending an empty string. For the DATE field, I'm assuming I need to pass something like a nil or NULL value to the field, however this is not working. Ideas? These doesn't work: [editFeature.attributes setValue:nil forKey:@"SOURCE_DATE"]; ... [editFeature.attributes setValue:NULL forKey:@"SOURCE_DATE"]; ... [editFeature.attributes setValue:@"" forKey:@"SOURCE_DATE"];

Okay, I got it. Thanks Nimesh. I needed to step through the results to get each array. Here's the code that worked: AGSIdentifyResult *layer0Results = [results objectAtIndex:0];
AGSIdentifyResult *layer1Results = [results objectAtIndex:1];
AGSIdentifyResult *layer2Results = [results objectAtIndex:2]; and then to get specific attribute values: NSString *prop_city = [layer2Results.feature.attributes objectForKey:@"City"];
NSString *prop_state = [layer2Results.feature.attributes objectForKey:@"State"];
NSString *prop_zip = [layer2Results.feature.attributes objectForKey:@"Zip"]; Thanks again, Steve

Nimesh, thanks for the reply. I did as suggested (see screenshot), and now can make out county outlines in the states. When I identify, however, I only see the same 50 attributes shown by the original example. I also noticed that after I made the changes to the code suggested, the state name disappeared from the callout. Not sure if that's related, but bottom line, in my case changing the code didn't app earl to show attributes from additional layers. One thing to add, I'm using Xcode 4.3.2. Steve

Does anyone have any sample code for using the identify task on more than one layerId? I have the code working with a single layerId (as with all the samples I can find). self.identifyParams.layerIds = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:[NSNumber numberWithInt:0], nil]; I want to identify on multiple layers. I've tried the following but it doesn't work. Any ideas? self.identifyParams.layerIds = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:[NSNumber numberWithInt:0], [NSNumber numberWithInt:1], [NSNumber numberWithInt:2], nil]; Thanks, Steve

Does anyone know if you can have multiple IdentifyTasks in a single view controller? I can create two tasks, but don't know how to handle two sets of results. Any ideas?
