For me this does not work...I did see your post about hard coding the creds and I'm going to investigate that. Thanks for all the input on this issue...

@JCGuarneri Thanks for that update. I will also pursue a bug in git and see if it goes anywhere. This is extremely frustrating for such a fundamental operation. -And nice reconnaissance!

Thanks Brian, Yes I saw where that could be configured from the organization settings, but when I change that number and save the change, the change does not replicate to the homepage. No matter what I choose 4 items still appear on my homepage. Can you verify that when you change and save the changes, the number of content items it does in fact change on the homepage to help troubleshoot? Appreciate it, Sean

Hi Brian, is there a way to have more than 4 featured maps? If I change this setting from the organization page to more featured items, there still is only 4. Any advice? Thank you for a great blog!

In my case, I had to go to services>ArcGISserver>Properties>Log On>Browse>Locations>Entire Directory>check for my domain account> and update the account infofrom there. I am now logged on with a domain account.

Solved: For me this behavior was caused by a certificate configured without the machine name of the server in the Subject Alternative Name field. This is in addition to the domain name of the machine. Also, in Server, the portal machine was specified as the machine name, which made my printing service break. All is good now.

Hello, I have Arc server 10.7.1 federated with Portal 10.7.1. I am needing to change the arc server account to a domain account, but when I try to do so within the ArcGIS Server account utility I receive "the network path was not found" error. I have verified that I am on a domain, that the user I'm trying to use is able to log into the machine via the domain on the server machine, to no avail. I can see this user/domain users through Portal Admin with no problems. and am activley authenticating users in Portal with Active Directory. Can the arc Server account be altered in this way when server is federated? I've tried solutions from this article: Use nested groups in a Windows Active Directory identity store—ArcGIS Server Administration (Windows) | ArcGIS Enterpris… Still, I cannot connect. Does anyone have any insight? I can see this user through Portal Admin with no problems. Can the arc Server account be altered when federated? Any insight is appreciated.

Hello, I have a 10.7.1 Portal installation, federated with a server 10.7.1 installation. I have several issues with my configuration. Both Portal and Server are on a local network, both using internally signed certificates. The portal and server load over https fine, but certain features cannot be used, such as: Printing-Nor the portal default printing or the federated services - Portal default printing comes back with a 400 error or a Cert_invalid error - Federated printing services fail with a CORS policy error; and I am asked to sign in to access the item, which fails with the error "cannot access authentication service" Thumbnails are not created on new maps, and cannot be created from the map Extent cannot be accessed or set in the organization settings This all seems to point to a printing issue, but I cannot figure out the access problem to the .js files that throw errors related to certificates of CORS configurations. When I copy/past the path to inaccessible files in a browser I access them fine over https. I've tried a myriad of solutions with no success. I'm almost ready to start over, but would like to explore all options before doing so. If you need some more info or log errors please let me know and I'd be happy to oblige. Thanks!
