OK, you're right. I see that in the bug notes. I was confused by the email that Esri sent me. Thanks for clairfying!

Yes, it was an email regarding BUG-000116101. The status is "Not in Current Product Plan", and states "the Esri Development team has considered the issue or request and concluded it will not be addressed". If this is the case, this is extremely frustrating and leaves Windows tablet users near dead in the water until we upgrade to 4X. Awesome.

Heather: I just received an email from Esri stating that the status of the bug was changed to "Not in Current Product Plan". What does that mean?

FYI - Esri has not made any movement on this bug as of yet. If people are affected by it, they should contact Esri to try to escalate the bug.

I am also working with Esri tech support. They have confirmed that it is a bug (BUG-000116174) and are working on issue. Coudl it be related to this deprecation in Chrome 68: Remove document.createTouch The document.createTouch() method is being removed because the Touch() constructor has been supported since Chrome 48. This follows a long-standing trend in JavaScript APIs of moving away from factory functions and toward constructors. The closely-related document.createTouchList() method is expected to be removed in Chrome 69.

I am also experiencing this. We use Windows tablets. We tested on iOS and Android and this issue seems isolated to Windows tablets, at least for us. At first it was just on Chrome, but we ran another build to see if it would fix it and it also broke Edge. We have submitted a ticket with Esri. Deyanira Martinez Lucero - are you using Windows tablets?

My goal is to write a report that anyone can run at any time that hits a specific version of the data. I have not found a way to do this. Any suggestions? Thank you! -Shana

I would like to use the gallery sample for my internally hosted maps, but it looks like you need Portal installed, which I cannot do because it requires 64-bit. Anyone know a way of configuring the gallery without Portal?

I need to generate a point layer that represents distances along a line feature. I have the starting point features and the line that is to be traversed in GIS. I am looking for an automated way to take my spreadsheet of distances and generating point features. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you. I did have the syntax wrong on the delete. I was able to delete the views and re-create them, but am having the same issue that I oroiginally had with the views. I create them using the following: sdetable -o create_mv_view -T mv_mains -t w_mains -u pwd -p network It creates successfully, but then when I try to view in ArcCatalog, nothing displays. If I try to open in ArcMap, I get an error message that "Abstract Data Types not supported". Thanks again!

I had a bunch of multiversioned views that no longer work (they exist but the data does not display). I thought I could just drop them and recreate them, but am having issues with this. When I drop from ArcCatalog (I read that this is the proper way to drop the view), I don;t get an error message, but it does not drop. I tried dropping using "sdetable -o delete_mv_view -t <view name> -i 5151 -u <user> -p <passord>, but I get an error message that the "Table is unregistered" and thefore it is unable to drop the view. I then dropped using SQLPlus, which, it appeared to drop it, but when I re-create it, I get a message that it already exists. Any help would be greatly appreciated-

I am trying to use the Python findAndReplaceWorkspacePaths function, but apparently am doing something wrong. We recently rebuilt our SDE database and moved the data to a new user (was owned by SDE, which I know is a big no-no, so we moved the data to a different user). The FC names are the same, server is the same. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong? I was also wondering if there is a Python method for fixing the table joins that are lost now that the data is oned by the new user. Thanks in advance for any help. import arcpy mxd = arcpy.mapping.MapDocument(r"B:\Temp\PYTHON\Test.mxd") mxd.findAndReplaceWorkspacePaths(r"Database Connections\Connection to MVNPUSH as SDE.sde", r"Database Connections\Connection to MVN as EDITOR.sde") mxd.saveACopy(r"B:\Temp\PYTHON\Test2.mxd") del mxd

I have simple analysis problem, but it has been a long time since I have used Spatial Analyst and am not sure which tool (or tools) would be best suited. We have a bunch of satellite offices that each need to be assigned to one of our 5 central facilities, based on distance and the groundskeeping cost. We would like the total groundskeeping cost to be fairly equally disctributed among the five central facilities. What type of analysis would be best suited for this? Image attached - yellow dots are central facilities, purple dots are satellite offices labelled by cost. Thanks!
