Hi, I have a problem with path distance tool:as longs as I define the source and cost raster as the inputs to calculate the rastre distance and backlink distance everyhting works fine and I get the results in two separate raster layers, however when I want to add more complexity to the tool e.g. adding the DTM as surface raster and Aspect (integer format) as horizontal factor, the outcomes contain nothing (it display raster distance & backlink raster on the table of content but they visulaize nothing on the screen and I don't know what could be the cause of this problem? Could you please help with this problem? Looking forward to hear from you, /Sima

Hello I don't know how it is possible to cut/clip a point feature to the sixe/estent of a line feature in an ArcView version of the ArcMap? I tried: 1-'Clip' , but not applicable since it needs a polygon 'feature' as the cutting cookie. 2-'Selection by location' was not successful either since the two layers are not exactly on top of each other in all parts in this case. what is important for me is to cut the point features to the extent of the line feature. Could you please let me know what could be the possible solution? Best Regards Sima Mohtashami

Hi William I have a question regarding the horizontal factors in path distance tool. I have set the Horizontal parameters like this: 1)Input horizontal raster: 'aspect' layer created from DEM of the study area. 2)Horizontal factor:I have defined a table like what I have attached to this message by this table, I wanted the tool to apply weights of 1 to five when the horizontal relative moving angel is either 0-5 or 175-180( since in this way I can be sure that the vehicle won't have too much tilting on the path). for all other HRMA ,I have considered the Horizontal factor=100 to make them costly as much as possible. I just wanted to check the table with you to see if it will have the outcomes that I have wished for it??? Thank you for your help.
