I know you are not supposed to reply to your own thread, but I found the answer. I had to use datachanged on the layer and not refresh.

I am trying to use "[graphic setVisible:NO];", but when I go back to the map the graphic is still displayed. I tried using "[self.pointFeatureLayer refresh];", but I get the same thing. Am I missing something for toggling a graphic's visibility?

I have built an extension to query a SharePoint List and recreate a GrahicsLayer bases on the result set. Whenever I run this, I loose the class break renderer. It still shows in SharePoint that the renderer is applied, but the points don't reflect the renderer parameters. I have checked the data type of the field and it shows I am passing in a double when I create the graphic. Any help would be much appreciated.
