My understanding of distributed collaboration (based on the on-line ESRI documentation) between AGOL and Portal(s) is that only one AGOL platform can be included, and it must be designated as the host. AGOL to AGOL collaboration is not supported, but Portal (host) to Portal(s) (guest(s)) is supported. Guests can view data from a host without having an account on the host site with share (Feature Layer) by copy (unless a feature layer is shared by reference by the host, and it is made visible to Everyone). Perhaps someone who works for ESRI can confirm this.

I am upgrading several Web App Builder (WAB) apps to the current version of WAB (v2.14 Developer Edition) for accessibility features. I'm using the "axe" extension to the Chrome browser to test for accessibility, and I am getting violations for ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) such as: "ARIA hidden element must not contain focusable elements." "ARIA roles used must conform to valid values." Has anyone found an easy way to make these fixes? Is it easier to re-build a WAB app from scratch (in the current Web App Builder) rather than import an existing older app and make code fixes?

Has anyone experienced problems with the 3D Analyst Extension/Toolbar tools in ArcMap (v10.5)? I am having trouble using the Contour tool (but this seems to work in the Spatial Analyst Extension/Toolbar) and the Interpolate Line tool (but this seems to work in ArcMap v10.7). I'm working with a 3D raster (TIF format) file with elevations.

I am trying to add custom images to a Portal Sites page. I am uploading a photo to Portal to make it view-able in Sites using the URL with a token, but the token expires every 2 weeks. Has anyone found a better way to add custom images to a Portal Sites page that doesn't have this issue?

I'm having some problems with the Import Metadata Tool in ArcCatalog 10.4. I'm setting the Metadata options to FGDC CSDGM metadata. I have a basic workflow to export the metadata from one source element (an .mxd file), edit the metadata in a text editor, and then import the metadata to another output element (another .mxd file). When I view the metadata for an .mxd file (in the ArcCatalog Details tab) and export it to an XML file (with the Export Metadata Tool), edit the file in a text editor, I can't import the file (to the same or another .mxd file) with the Import Metadata Tool. I will run the tool and get a "Succeeded at ..." message, but in the Results window there is a message that "The process did not execute because a pre-condition is false". The Import Metadata Tool GUI also re-launches after this, but that just produces the same result. I researched this pre-condition message, but I only found references to ModelBuilder elements that need to be run in sequence, and I did not find any pre-conditions that I can set for the Export Metadata Tool. I tried refreshing the folder connections in ArcCatalog, but that doesn't make a difference. I have run the Upgrade Metadata Tool, but that does not make a difference. I have run the XSLT Transformation Tool, but that does not make a difference. I may have found a work-around: when you save the metadata for an .mxd file (in the ArcCatalog Details tab), a metadata file is created with an *.mxd.xml extension that can be seen in the Windows directory (but not in ArcCatalog). This .mxd.xml file can be edited and saved in a text editor, and if the root file name is the same as any .mxd file in the same folder, the metadata will be updated for that .mxd file. Has anyone else had these challenges with the Import Metadata Tool or used a different workflow in ArcCatalog?
