I am trying to create a web map that allows users to ONLY see and edit the features they created. I have a hosted feature layer in Portal for ArcGIS with Editor Tracking enabled. Under the "Settings" section of the feature layer, I have checked "Keep track of who created and last updated features", "Editors can only see their own features", etc. as shown in the image below. I tested using different users. User A can only see and edit the features he/she created. The web map updates "Edited by User_A x seconds ago" on the bottom of the attributes. However, it does not update "created_user, created_date, last_edited_user, and last_edited_date". When trying to fill these fields manually, they are greyed out as shown in the image below. Is there any way I can get these Editor Tracking fields filled automatically or manually? Note: I opened the feature that I used to publish this hosted feature layer in ArcMap. It automatically populated those attributes mentioned above. I republished the feature and tested in Portal, once again those fields are greyed out. Thank you for your help!

I added empty strings "" with else clause. Something like this: if (isset($_POST['btn_submit'])) {
if (isset($_POST['txt_id'])) {
$id = $_POST['txt_id'];
} else {
$id = '';
}
}

I have a feature layer hosted in Portal for ArcGIS. I was trying to "Stop" the service in ArcGIS Server to enable Enable Ownership Based Access Control ,but both "Start" and "Stop" options are greyed out as shown on the image below. I have admin rights to both Portal and ArcGIS Server. Could anyone please help me solve this issue? Thank You!

I am creating a web application with feature layers of different clients. I need to make sure that client A can only see and edit their data, but cannot see other clients' data, nor can they edit. What could be the best possible options to achieve this? Should I do this in ArcGIS Server/Portal for ArcGIS in the backend? Thank You

Where do you work and what is your role? Hi, I am Saroj Thapa. I work for Pond & Company as a GIS Developer. What GIS success have you had this year and what product did you use? (big or small - no win is out of bounds) Not a success yet, but we are in the process of deploying ArcGIS Enterprise and my role will move toward more GIS administrator. I am very excited about this. What is your expertise (GIS related or not), and how can that help the community? Hard to say if I am an expert in anything. However, I have a good knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

We are using ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server. We just noticed our GP Services stopped working and when I started the service manually in ArcGIS Server Manager, we received the following "Service failed to start" error message. How can I fix this issue? Is there any particular patch that can possibly solve the problem? Thanks!

Thank you Randy for your neat and clean codes. After deleting empty feature classes, say if a feature dataset has 2 empty features, then that feature dataset is empty now. I want to delete those empty feature datasets too. Can you please help me with this? Thanks,

I am working on creating a script/tool that deletes empty feature classes that reside inside feature datasets. Some datasets have empty feature classes. When those empty feature classes are deleted, some datasets become empty. I could not figure out how to count the number of datasets in a file gdb and delete them if they are empty. import arcpy
import os
arcpy.env.workspace = r"C:\Users\s\Documents\ArcGIS\Default.gdb"
#arcpy.env.workspace = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
#listFCs = arcpy.ListFeatureClasses()
listDSs = arcpy.ListDatasets("*", "All")
# Delete empty Feature Classes inside Feature Dataset
for ds in listDSs:
for fc in arcpy.ListFeatureClasses(feature_dataset=ds):
count = str(arcpy.GetCount_management(fc))
if count == "0":
arcpy.Delete_management(fc)
# Delete empty Feature Datasets
# First count number of feature datasets and check if they are empty
for ds2 in listDSs:
print (ds2)
print "Script Completed!" I used similar approach to fc in ds, but got the following errors: ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000840: The value is not a Table View. ERROR 000840: The value is not a Raster Layer. Failed to execute (GetCount). Please help. Thanks,
