Hi, The problem discussed in this topic should be fixed by updating to ArcGIS Pro 2.7.1. It was in fact a bug and filed as BUG-000136608, see the release notes. The update also worked for other members of my team for whom the previous mentioned workaround did not work. 🙂

Hi, After contact with support we discovered a workaround that fixes both issue 1 (Pro crashes when a layout is opened and text is added) and issue 2 (Failed to open layout view error when opening pre 2.7 layout) as described by @TomBole in his reply. To resolve both issues (at least for me) install the English (United States) language pack in the Region & language settings. The following settings worked for me (notice that your probably won't need Nederlands/Dutch and the Netherlands as a setting, not 100% sure about the Windows display language): After you have installed the language pack you should be able to open a new layout and add text without Pro crashing and open layouts in 2.7 made pre 2.7 with text. You can also keep Spell checking enabled with this workaround. Note: some of my colleagues work in a Windows Enterprise environment with limited administrator privileges, this workaround did not work for them. There might be a link between the limited administrator privileges and installing the language pack.

I recently updated to ArcGIS Pro 2.7, now when I open an APRX that is saved with an earlier version of ArcGIS Pro. I can't open the layouts associated with the APRX. I get the following error/warning: Failed to open layout view. It then refuses to open the layout and closes the tab. My colleagues are seeing the same error in the APRX files they open. One colleague who still has 2.6 installed can open the APRX files without any errors. Is this a bug?

Hi Andrew, Thank you for your response, it's good to hear that you are working on both export functionality and support for voxel layers in the web. I'm impressed how 'smoothly' voxel layers (seeing how large the inputfiles are) operate. If you have a more concrete timeline for implementation of those features, I'd love to hear from you again. Cheers, Sander

We have just started to use Voxel Layers and we are wondering if it's possible to export voxel layer sections. Firstly without any certain outputtype specified, but perhaps a multipatch (or 3D object) export. So we could share these sections in our organisation (as files and services). Our current workflow is: 1. Receive a CSV from the Geotechnical department, load that data into ArcGIS Pro. 2. Use the Table to NetCDF geoprocessing tool, with x, y and z as domains and a geological class as variable. 3. Create voxel layer sections at designated locations. What we would like to do is share these sections as files to use in for instance AutoCAD Civil 3D. We have a FME installation to ETL whatever output to that designated output. But I currently can't find any export possibilities at all. On the long run it would also be great to share at least some sections in our GIS viewers.

Hi, I'm interested in using the BuildingExplorer widget to show the BIM (.RVT based) models of my organisation to our end users. However if I try to load one of our Building Scene Layers in the widget, it shows the UI element but does not load any subelements (levels, phase, layers). If I check for the state in the Building Explorer viewmodel it keeps returning the disabled state. If someone could help me out what I'm doing wrong or if this is a (known) bug, I would like to hear from you. All relevant information summed up: - JS API 4.16 - I used the code from the default example I changed the itemid to our designated scene on ArcGIS Online and changed the layer.name to the corresponding name in the scene. - Browser: Google Chrome 84.0.4147.105 - The Building Scene Layer is created by uploading a Scene Layer Package to ArcGIS Online. Created with the Create Building Scene Layer Package in ArcGIS Pro based on a .RVT file of a bridge to be constructed. - The .RVT file does not (as far as I can see) contain any levels, but it does contain layers and at least one construction phase (not denoted as a number, by the way). I tried to turn 'off' the levels and even the phase with the visibleElements property but this had no effect.

Firstly, thank you for your answer Mike. Just to get things clear, the arcpy involved at every ArcMap release corresponds to the same arcpy available at the same release of ArcGIS Server/Enterprise? So for instance ArcMap 10.6.1 and ArcGIS Server/Enterprise 10.6.1 utilize the same arcpy module? And how can we know what ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing tools are available at every release of Enterprise? The specific tool SubdividePolygon_management which is available in Pro but not in ArcMap, is it or will it be incorporated to Enterprise?

I made a Python script that utilizes a recently developed geoprocessing tool (arcpy.SubdividePolygon_management). I can successfully run the script in ArcGIS Pro, but when I publish it as a geoprocessing service to our ArcGIS Server it returns the following error when I try to run the service. AttributeError: module 'arcpy' has no attribute 'SubdividePolygon_management' I assume this is due to the Python 3 installation of arcpy on the server does not have this tool already included in the installation. We currently have ArcGIS Server 10.6.1 installed (currently without Portal - standalone). I use the latest version of ArcGIS Pro (2.4.2). Is my assumption correct? If so, is there a way to check what Python geoprocessing tools are available at every release of ArcGIS Server/Enterprise (without installing said release)? Lastly, is there a way to make the Python script work as a geoprocessing service? Thank you for your answer in advance.
