Mike, It was the self-signed certificate problem. We have now added the certificate to our trusted root certificate store and accepted the certificate in the browser and it seems to work. Thanks, Sam

Hi, We've had the same problems that were outlined in a similar post: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/83223-Unable-to-add-feature-service-in-AGOL Unfortunately, we can't use the solution mentioned of disabling SSL on our organisation. We have Test and Production ArcGIS Servers (10.0 - soon to be 10.1/2) with all services (Tiled, Feature, Dynamic) secured using default arcgis security provider (SQL Server) and with both web servers having CORS enabled. Our production system works well by indexing our service items (with embedded credentials) in 'My Content' in our organisation and many webmaps created using these items. We would like to be able to index our test services as items also, however as our organisation has an SSL-only option we are unable to do that (as mentioned in the other forum thread). We are working in a highly secure environment and must have SSL configured for our organisation. It seems the SSL-only option on the organisation attempts to route some requests through the AGOL proxy page - which obviously can't see our internal server name and results in a HTTP 500 server error - see image below. We have confirmed that we are able to add our Test services and view them in a public account on arcgis online. Are there any workflows that will allow us to test these internal services and have truly isolated Test and Production items (Webmaps and service references) in AGOL? Currently we are having to modify webmaps and services that are being used by many users without the ability to test our changes.

After recently purchasing an ArcGIS Online subscription and inheriting a folder structures from an existing free account (now the AGOL admin account), i started to reorganise folders. I managed to delete my most important folder with my live webmaps in it - i was sure that i had not done this on purpose, but it all happened so fast that there was a doubt in my mind about what i had done. An hour later i watched my colleague do the exact same thing on another key folder of content. He clearly intended to delete a folder that was not needed but the application then deleted a different important folder. I will be submitting this as a bug - as we have now had to recreate all the webmaps again. I won't be deleting any folders until i can trust that the platform will not delete the wrong one. And no, i can't reproduce this as i don't want to delete any more incorrect folders. This occurred in the latest Chrome

Good day, So I am having a bit of a problem with my ArcSDE server - well two really; I am unable to udate the license file on it (problem number 2) because I appear to be unable to connect the the database (main problem!). So when I tried to upgrade the license I got the "may have failed" alert and viewed why, it stated "Error: Failure to access the DBMS server (-409). Error upgrading authorization key." I am a noob to the server side of GIS so any help would be appreciated whist I am trouble shooting this issue. Here is a run down of my set up: Running on a Virtual Server Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise ArcSDE 10 MS SQL 2008 [Everything has been working fine for months, up until a few days ago.] Notes: - The ArcSde Service is set to automatic but is not starting when I try to manually start it - throwing the following alert: "The ArcSde Service(blah) service on GISServer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs." - The giomgr log file shows a normal start up sequence but then drops out when it attempts to "validate license". This is to be expected as I need to renew the license but cannot. - SQL Server service has started. Still collecting further data on issue, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Andrew Andrew, i have exactly the same problem, did you ever fix this? The notes from Vangelo did not help as this problem is caused by that workflow.

I am looking for the ability to host my own CityEngine web scenes on our internal network to display internal / sensitive models (i.e. outside of ArcGIS Online). Are there JavaScript libraries available that i can use to do this? Is this an idea Esri are exploring for the future, or can it be included as a module in the JavaScript API? Thanks

Hi, Can we run 64bit CityEngine against a 32bit Licence Server? Or do we have to have 64bit on both systems? The product descriptions don't really make this clear. Thanks

Sam, I don't see a question about deferred's? Is it in another post? Kelly, In this sample http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/help/jssamples_start.htm#jssamples/widget_infowindowdeferred.html you can return a deferred object to the setContent method of an infoTemplate. I have not been able to get this to work with a PopupTemplate (i.e. map & popup created by arcgis.utils.createMap) even though the popupTemplate inherits from the infoTemplate. I got around it by listening to the 'onShow' event of the popup and dynamically inserting my content after a callback. Sam
