Tangentially related to this question: Putting Water, Wastewater/Drainage all in One Util... - Esri Community I am trying to understand how to reference the structural domain from other domains in other utility networks. If I use an asset package to deploy a water utility network and a communications utility network but both share a common vault, where does the record of the vault live? Does the vault live in the structure domain in both utility networks? That breaks the usefulness of databases in that we have to manage multiple records for the same structure. According to this answer, using a UN per domain is the preferred model. How do we handle common structures shared between UNs? Looking at the C_Association table in the Asset Package, I am uncertain how to include external tables to make the association on deployment. Or is a common UN, with multiple domains within the only solution to my desire?

An in-band management system with simple toggle/checkbox to approve upgrades to specified versions, or an 'always upgrade' toggle. It is rather unfriendly to have to stop use KACE or something to install every patch, OR double the usage of your licenses so people have a arcgis account simply for updating their Pro. It is either waste work hours or licenses.

I am posting here because Pro is what started my desire to find this. Where can a person get, hopefully in one place, a comprehensive list of changes to software. For example, I had been forgetting to update my Pro software and did it just recently, however, now only then did I discover that I must upgrade License Manager to continue to licensing Pro through Portal. Why a minor version change requires changing a existing, supported, server stack is an aside with strong opinions; but where could I find this information? I found it on the software requirements page for Pro 2.9 but nothing in the release's blog post, which seems mostly focused around marketing. Is there a secret sys admin page where I can just a list, hopefully less pictures and more text, of changes from version to version? The ArcGIS Pro 2.9 Issues Addressed seems to only address bug fixes and I could not find any notice of the License Manager requirement. The Release Notes page for ArcGIS Pro 2.9 doesn't seem to address this either.

Of course after I posted this I found a similar, but less specific feature request. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/ago-item-details-default-values/idi-p/955588

I would like for my organization to have the ability to place a default 'Terms of Use' on any new item created within the organization. A place in the organization's settings screen to add a custom block of text that would be inserted in the 'Terms of Use' as the default when a person creates a new item in AGO, within my organization. Otherwise, I have to train each user to find and copy the block of text from my lawyer each time they create a public map. It ends up being inconsistent most of the time.

I have been experimenting with the REST endpoint for AGO and was trying to use the URL as a remote ArcGIS server connection in Pro. It connects and displays all my expected services/layers. I can add Feature Service layers to my maps and they behave as expected. However, adding a Map Service layer, I am greeted by a vague error message "Failed to add data:" If I add the Map Service from the Portal, it load successfully. I can load the Map Service using QGIS. Am I abusing the REST API or is there another issue? Any suggestions? Are more useful error messages coming down the pipeline for Pro? My BIGGEST complaint about the ESRI ecosystem is incredible opaque error messages. I have made sure Pro is up-to-date, reinstalled it, tried it logged into the portal, not logged in, changed networks, changed computers. I just don't know if it permissions, missing DLL, network error, etc because the only thing I have to work with is "Failed to add data:".

I have FGDB that I am trying to build out for in-the-field surveys through AGO and Collector. Below is a mock diagram of the tables that I am having trouble. FeatureLayer1 is existing features. FeatureLayer2 is newly created features. These are simple, unattributed relationships. In Pro: If I create a new feature in FeatureLayer2 and then a new record for SharedTable1, everything is saved without issue. If I select a feature in FeatureLayer1 and create a record in Table1 and then a SharedTable1 record, everything is saved without issue. I can even upload the edits done in Pro to AGO and they appear in Collector as expected. In Collector: If I create a new feature in FeatureLayer2 and then a new record for SharedTable1, when I tell it to submit the record it says, "1 or more attributes failed to submit". If I select a feature in FeatureLayer1 and create a record in Table1 and then a SharedTable1 record, when I tell it to submit the record it says, "1 or more attributes failed to submit". If I recreate the relationships, like below. All record creation is submitted and works as expected in both Pro and Collector. Am I forgetting something rather obvious about relationship integrity in the first relationship design; is Pro ignoring something that Collector is catching? Or is there a caveat about using FGDB and hosting this on AGO or using Collector with this design? Also, is there a log for Collector, either in the app or AGO that could help diagnose this problem? "1 or more attributes failed to submit" is an extremely unhelpful error message. Thanks.

Hmm, I am the owner/admin of my organization and I checked when I attempted to report it, but it was transitioned to me and maybe I keep missing it.

Yeah, I have been using regex with the Field Calculator to clean up the whitespace. But I would like to just pick the field and click to check that it is clean. Not run it on every field to make sure it is clean. I am not familiar enough with the API to write a script to just blanket remove all whitespace (and that could be dangerous too), or have enough time to familiarize myself with it right now.

I am working on trying to get a dataset that was lazily collected and processed by a contractor, fixed. There are values in the fields that have lot of leading, trailing whitespace and in some cases both leading and trailing whitespace. At time more than one whitespace. I would expect: the Insert Values control in the Field Calculator to show all unique values found in the field. What actually happens: the Insert Value control ignores all whitespaces and incorrectly identifies different values as a single value The values: "Yes" " Yes" "Yes " "Yes " Are all different values and should be treated as such. I wanted to report a bug but the support page claims I don't belong to a organisation, which I do. And I shouldn't need a support case to report a bug, I don't need someone to fawn over me, it just needs better programming, unit testing and fixed.

Yeah, I have searched the little bit of documentation, gis.SE, and Googled every way I could think. Any case the official documentation speaking nothing about labeling (which would be most important to me). KML hacking could get the labels from what I have found, but that is not ideal.

Will Earth support Layer Packages (*.lpk)? Support the rendering of feature labels? We use Explorer Desktop in production as we handle sensitive data that web portals are not appropriate for use. It is kind of bad form that Explorer Desktop was retired and Earth's functionality makes it only slightly better than toy software. Is there a ticket centre, road map, mailing list, etc. that shows progression of the development of this software?
