The fields in the table of a layer I brought into a map are in alphabetical order rather than the default order they have always been in before for this same layer. In another map, the fields are in the correct (non-alphabetic order) order. What has happened and how can I get the default order back? I'm working in Map Viewer Classic. In Map Viewer, the table displays with the fields in the correct order, but in the popup it's in alphabetic order.

I am having trouble with the visibility of a layer I just added to a couple maps. Features appear and disappear at different scales. I updated my survey in Survey123 connect and added it to the map for this year’s data. Data from previous years (and previous surveys) in the same maps do not have this problem. In the visibility setting, the visibility is set to full visibility at all scales. What could be happening? Scale Visibility 1:577791 Yes 1:288895 No 1:144448 Yes 1:72224 No 1:36112 No 1:18056 Yes 1:9028 Yes 1:4514 Yes In another map, data from the same source cannot be seen unless zoomed in beyond 1:9028. Also, in that other map, newly added polygon data appears and disappears, but at different scales than the above.

I have a map in AGOL that I've opened in Pro. I'm able to Export Features from my filtered 2019 data, But not my filtered 2020, 2021, or 2022 data, but the source is the same for them all. For the three years I can't export, Export Features is grayed out when I try. I've had both success and the same problem with other AGOL maps. I don't understand why this is happening or how to get around it.

With a recent update to Survey123, I had a problem with saved answers, wherein answers relevant to a previous answer was not being saved. I applied a workaround I was given and the problem was solved. However, there is another problem I’m experiencing which is causing me a great deal of work. Answers from previous surveys seem to be bleeding into new surveys. I think it may be related to saved (Favorite) answers, but answers from one survey may be copying directly over into the next. Again, this has only been a problem since a relatively recent update. My survey collects a variety of Wilderness management data from volunteers, including trail maintenance, campsite, and noxious weed data, etc. As an example of this “bleeding: Surveyor begins the day by entering name, Wilderness, and trail (relevant to the wilderness selected), saves answers as favorites, and exits survey, saving it as a draft. I have recommended the old drafts be deleted before creating a new one. Surveyor begins hike and encounters deadfall on the trail. They paste the favorite answers and record this trail maintenance item as deadfall, and are presented with the questions about the deadfall (number, size, and whether they cleared it). They complete this, save the survey and move on. Surveyor next encounters a stream crossing. They paste the favorite answers and record this trail maintenance item as a stream crossing, and are presented with the questions about the crossing (type, condition, etc). They complete this, save the survey and move on. Surveyor next encounters noxious weeds. They paste the favorite answers and record this noxious weed infestation, and are presented with the questions about the infestation (species, phenology, extent, etc). They complete this, save the survey and move on. On uploading the surveys, the first survey is fine, but both the stream crossing and noxious weed surveys also include the information about the previous deadfall survey (number, size, and whether they cleared it). I am having to go through each survey and edit out the unrelated data. For each survey that isn’t deadfall, I have to go in and delete the deadfall data. This “bleeding” is not limited to any one type of data. Noxious weed data may bleed over into a campsite survey. Until the recent Survey123 update, the data editing required was minimal. Now it’s a major chore. It has been my assumption that this was a problem with the saved answers, but perhaps not. It could be that answers from one survey are copying directly over into the next.

I just checked the version of 123 on the S7 and the version was 3.12.277. So I updated to 3.14.242 and went through the same routine. It did the same thing as last Saturday and this morning. Now I'm back to thinking it's the Survey123 update, not Android.

Has something happened to the favorite answers function with the last Survey123 update? It has always worked fine, but last Saturday on the trail, it would not paste in a couple saved items. The other items were fine, but I could not make it save those two. Up to this point (like for 4 years) the favorite answers have worked perfectly. I thought it might be my phone, but the same thing happened on the same day to someone using the same survey 25 miles away. He wasn't saving one of the items I was missing, but the item that was failing for him was the same as the other one that was failing for me. I uninstalled Survey123, then reinstalled it, and when I try to save the same answers, the same item fails. Seems like it has to be either a Survey123 update issue or an Android update issue. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S9. Addition: I just did an experiment on an old Samsung Galaxy S7, which I sometimes use as a data collector. It can't upgrade past Android 8.0. I saved the same answers as before and they pasted into a new record correctly. I am beginning to suspect the last Android update on my S9 (running Android 10.0) is the cause of the problem.

GPS Test worked on both, getting satellites equally well, as well as location in Google Maps and such using GPS only for location. Firmware was the same on both. At least I was able to get one to work through a factory reset. No great loss, I guess, since they were both older phones that have long since been replaced. At least I still have the one that I can lend out as needed. Thanks for the suggestions.

Is it possible to install previous versions of Survey123? If possible, I might try that on one of the phones and see if an update caused the GPS disconnect. If yes, would it then automatically update back to the current version?

I have two Samsung Galaxy S4s I've been using for data collectors with Survey123. I've used them successfully in the past, but now they will not connect to the onboard GPS. Both will show accurate GPS locations in Google maps, but both tell me "No position received" in Survey123. I've uninstalled my survey and Survey123 on both, then reinstalled. Same issue. Both say they're connected to the integrated provider, but I get no location. Both have permissions. Ideas?

As with Kevin's screenshot, "Categories" sometimes isn't an option to create symbology along with "Features", "Quantities", "Charts", and "Multiple Attributes", so "Add All Values" is not a choice. Most recently, I've seen this happen when I've had to reset the data source. I've been able to add the data to the map again and "Categories" was again an option in the symbology properties of the newly added data.

I have also been having this problem a number of times over the past few months. The only way I have found to get around it is to add the data again and generally categories will again show up as an option.

Well, i guess I don't know just what I'm looking for as far as identifying the json string that gets sent to a print service. I opened the developer tools in the browser, but I'm in over my head regarding finding what I need. For the error itself, I see: SyntaxError: Unexpected token '<' at Object.b.fromJson (init.js:133) at Object.json (init.js:85) at w (init.js:89) at c (init.js:104) at e (init.js:104) at b.Deferred.resolve.callback (init.js:105) at init.js:93 at m (init.js:108) at k (init.js:108) at e.resolve (init.js:110) Seems like it may just be timing out as I also see: https://utility.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Utilities/PrintingTools/GPServer/Export%20Web%20Map%20Task/execute 504 (GATEWAY_TIMEOUT) Out of the blue, it did print once a few minutes ago, but then back to the same thing.

I'm afraid I'm trying to print at a much simpler level than server. I'm trying to print from the standard print widget in a basic AGOL app created in Web AppBuilder.. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but it does work fine on occasion.

I, too, have been going around and around with this print widget issue for quite some time. On occasion everything works great, but it's the exception rather than the rule. The error happens on multiple machines and in different browsers. Perhaps I need to simplify my map. Judging from the previous thread, it does appear that the quantity of point data can make or break the print widget, although I have this happen even with all my point data turned off. Generally, I have to open the map in desktop, create a layout, and print from that. Very frustrating!
