Thank you Robert! I was able to implement your changes and get it to work! The code you had written didn't work quite right, but after some playing around with it I was able to get it operate as I was hoping. I had to rename the option variable within the: " sqlExpressions.forEach(function(option){ " and then subsequently for option.sql and option.label - but after that it worked! Thank you so much!

Thanks for your help, both of you. I had read those articles previously, but I think I had to step away for a while and come back before I was really able to understand how to apply the information. Thanks again! Rebecca

Hello, I'm trying to create a tool in Model Builder that identifies protection areas (buffers) that, through time, have become misaligned and are no longer centered on the feature that they were created for. I then want to take the selected features and delete them. I'm planning on making this a tool that can be run on a semi-regular basis to check for discrepancies, delete the feature, then run through the rest of the tool that re-creates the buffer and/or creates buffers for new features. My problem is, the delete feature will delete ALL the buffers if there are no selections. I haven't been able to find much help as to how to implement an if/then condition that applies to select by location. All the help seems to only apply to selections based on attributes. I feel like I'm missing something simple here. If there are no selected misaligned features/buffers, I just need the tool to then continue onto the rest without deleting any features. Thank you, Rebecca

Thanks Russ, That is definitely helpful to know since we do perform these collections in the field as well. I hadn't thought that far ahead yet, so I'm glad to know that that won't be an issue. As for right now the issue is while on a computer in the office. Thanks again! Rebecca

Hello, I'm working on a project and it requires adding multiple points, with no attributes, based on identified objects in the imagery. We just published a features service so that we could start editing in the webmap (and thus from the field), but I'm running into a workflow issue and am wondering if there is a way around it. We need to add multiple points quickly, they have no predefined coordinates, and are based on buildings we identify in the imagery. The feature service has 50 or more templates for the different point types. Currently I have to scroll down the list of templates, choose the template I want, click on the point on the map then it pops up the attributes to populate. When I want to add another point I have to repeat the whole process including scrolling through the templates (since it scrolls back to the top after each point). In ArcMap it is quick - choose the template, click, click, click, etc. then finish editing. Is there a setting somewhere that can make this quicker? Or a workaround? If more information is needed, please let me know. Thank you, Rebecca

Hello, My original problem is that I am trying to geocode a long list of addresses which have a large portion that are listed simply as Milepost locations... some in whole number mile markers some in decimals. (Ie, Mile marker 120 and Mile Marker 5.7) I have a Roads shapefile and a Milepost Shapefile from the DOT. The milepost data is limited - it contains mile marker name and actual mile distance for the sign. After a little work, it now also lists the highway it is connected with. These mileposts, unfortunately, don't line up exactly with the roads file spatially. From what I read, using the linear referencing toolbox is the way to go for what I need, but I just can't seem to find any good resource that really explains what I need to do. Any information or extra resources or ideas outside of the linear referencing toolbox would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you, Rebecca Baril

I am not sure if this article will help you, but there are some address locators available through ArcGIS online, so you will need an account with them. I can't say with any absolute confidence that it isn't a paid service, but the article doesn't indicate anything about subscribing or anything along those lines. (I am using ArcMap at work in a government agency, so I'm not sure what we have and haven't purchased). http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/36444 Hope this helps.

Hello, I'm sorry I don't have a real solution and I just posted a similar thread on this issue. The only (temporary) solution I have found thus far is having to export the dwg to a shapefile, not to the geodatabase. Like I said this doesn't really solve my problem either and I still am having issues projecting. Hopefully a solution will arise soon. Rebecca
