Thanks for the reply Robert. Find myself regularly searching on objectid when digging into people's data issues, so having a search available for objectid is handy. I'll use your suggestion for now but hope they add it later as adding a field to all feature classes to do an objectid search would be a little cumbersome, especially since the objectid is already there. Thanks again for your quick response. Look forward to continuing to learn Pro.

I want to use Locate to search on objectid (or any other way someone can suggest). When I go to configure the layer for Locate, the objectid field is not listed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Converted some very old Arcobjects C++ code to run under 10.3. Tracing a geometric network, and while everything seems to work, the method get_NetworkFeature off of the IGeometricNetwork to retrieve the feature from the EID sometimes takes a few seconds. Don't recall having this issue years ago. Program takes up to a day to trace system. Setting flags and tracing in ArcMap is very fast. The data is in a file database. Perhaps using a sql server database would help? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have AVL being served up by a WMS server. We have noticed when we zoom extent in Arcmap 10.2 a request to the WMS is not sent except for the first time (same with bookmarks) the rest of the time it seems to be pulled from some cache in ArcMap, making the vehicles appear at the incorrect location when you zoom extents or go to bookmarks.

When I attempt to login to the rest using http://myserver:8399/arcgis/rest/admin/login I get an HTTP status 404 error. I believe I am admin and I can login to the server manager just fine.

We need to run a nightly process from a batch file that will execute a spatial query and fill in attribute in a feature. For example, query points to see which county they fall within and populate a county_name attribute. I could write an arcobjects program to accomplish this but I was wondering if there is an easier way. Python scripts perhaps. Can these be run from a batch file executed from windows scheduler? Is this reasonable or should I just bite the bullet and use arcobjects? Thanks for any help.
