Hello Arthur, Thank you for the inputs ...have send the mail to EDAC ..however we pushed ahead and used the model published by you: https://community.esri.com/people/acrawford-esristaff/blog/2018/10/24/arthurs-feature-extraction-from-lidar-dems-and-imagery We used the tools using : 3D mapping with Lidar Point Clouds and were able to Extract building footprints using Arcgis Pro 2.4. However I has been asked that will the same toolset work in ARCMAP ?If Yes which version? Thanks, Rahul

We have following scenarios: 1. Some of the feature classes are non-versioned(As you mentioned and as per the link as well we can update the geometry using SQL) 2. Some of the feature classes are versioned and participates in a geometric network and relationships(we are not clear whether we can update their geometry or not? Link specifies we cannot update their attributes except for versioned and archived data). and if it's possible to update the geometry it has to be performed through versioned views?

I would create a geo - processing(python) tool like erase on the server and host it. Once hosted I will call the tool in my javascript code. Here is the python tool box code: import arcpy from arcpy import env env.workspace=sys.path[0]+"/test.gdb" env.overwriteOutput=True class Toolbox(object): def __init__(self): """Define the toolbox (the name of the toolbox is the name of the .pyt file).""" self.label = "Toolbox" self.alias = "" # List of tool classes associated with this toolbox self.tools = [_Erase] class Model_Erase(object): def __init__(self): """Define the tool (tool name is the name of the class).""" self.label = "_Erase" self.description = "" self.canRunInBackground = False def getParameterInfo(self): # Input Features parameter Input_Feature_Line = arcpy.Parameter( displayName="Input Feature", name="Input_Feature_Line", datatype="DEFeatureClass", parameterType="Required", direction="Input") Input_Feature_Line.filter.list = ["Point","Polyline","Polygon"] Input_Erase_Layer = arcpy.Parameter( displayName="Erase Feature", name="Input_Erase_Layer", datatype="DEFeatureClass", parameterType="Required", direction="Input") Input_Erase_Layer.filter.list = ["Point","Polyline","Polygon"] Output_Feature_Layer = arcpy.Parameter( displayName="Intersect Output", name="Intersect_Layer", datatype="GPFeaturelayer", parameterType="Derived", direction="Output") parameters = [Input_Feature_Line, Input_Erase_Layer,Output_Feature_Layer] return parameters def isLicensed(self): """Set whether tool is licensed to execute.""" arcpy.CheckOutExtension("Spatial") return True def updateParameters(self, parameters): """Modify the values and properties of parameters before internal validation is performed.
