I realize this may come across as pedantry but I think names are important. According to the help, "Workflow items are single instances of Workflow Manager that allow groups in your organization to perform different types of work" Seems like "Workflow items" are actually "Workflow instances" or Workflow containers". When I see "Item" I think of something granular, a small thing. cheers Phil

Same issue here. We have a lot of reports based on versioned views. For reasons of performance and avoiding rewrite, we see a reasonable use case for maintaining versioned views in branched versioning. We would like the creation of EVWs and the equivalent of sde.version_util.set_current_version() for branched versioning versions. I realize this is not that tricky to implement now there are no more state_lineages to deal with, but I would think it's in ESRI's interest to make sure we're doing it correctly, consistently and in a performant way, whether through product or sample code on github.

@RogerCarribine met with Kory on Friday to go over Select By Attributes and it seems like it was rewritten at >2.8 & is now a couple of seconds to bring up, which is fantastic news.

For us, same symptom but different cause. There had been a data model change in one of the referenced layers, so we just had to remove layer and re-add.

It is a common experience in ArcGIS Pro 2.x (including 2.9) to wonder why basic GP tasks such as Select by Attribute can take several/many seconds to load. Understanding that these things may be lazily loaded, could there be a configuration option to load on startup (preferably in a background thread) any user-defined commonly used tools? Thanks!

Not sure what the point is of CoreHost apps if they don't have access to basic functionality like invoking GP tools...is there any plan to extend the API to work with ArcGIS.Desktop assemblies? Also not sure how else to write Unit Tests without this ability...

Checked and our point layer also says supportsCoordinateQuantization. Also rejigged the URL to map to our own service...but no die, just get Format Not Supported Supported Query Formats: JSON, AMF, geoJSON http://<server>/arcgis/rest/services/<service>/FeatureServer/0/query?f=pbf&geometry=%7B%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22latestWkid%22%3A3857%2C%22wkid%22%3A102100%7D%2C%22xmin%22%3A-8228293.22084349%2C%22ymin%22%3A4960457.387596488%2C%22xmax%22%3A-8225847.2359383665%2C%22ymax%22%3A4962903.372501614%7D&maxRecordCountFactor=3&outFields=*&outSR=102100&quantizationParameters=%7B%22extent%22%3A%7B%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22latestWkid%22%3A3857%2C%22wkid%22%3A102100%7D%2C%22xmin%22%3A-8228293.22084349%2C%22ymin%22%3A4960457.387596488%2C%22xmax%22%3A-8218509.281222992%2C%22ymax%22%3A4970241.327216988%7D%2C%22mode%22%3A%22view%22%2C%22originPosition%22%3A%22upperLeft%22%2C%22tolerance%22%3A19.10925707128908%7D&resultType=tile&returnExceededLimitFeatures=false&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersects&where=objectid+%3C+100&geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&inSR=102100

I don't think so...my FeatureService Layer is a point layer and I _think_ that supportsCoordinateQuantization is only for polylines/polygons. At least, I don't see where to set that. ESRI, I can't be the only person wanting to serve up lots of features using 10.6.1 to a WebGL client and not using AGOL/Portal. Is a small blog entry guiding us through this a possibility if it is more than one setting? Otherwise, what is the setting I'm missing? thanks in advance, Phil

Have ArcGIS Server Enterprise 10.6.1 instance with a FeatureService with a single point layer. If I go to http://<myarcgisserverurl>/<myservice>/FeatureServer/0/query I do not see PBF as a format in the drop-down.Nor can I jigger the URL querystring with f=PBF (Format not supported). Is there something I need to do to enable the PBF format? Can't seem to find documentation on this -- I know it was previously only in ArcGIS Online but thought it was a 10.6.1 capability.

I was running into this not working because I made the same typo you have above. No exception was thrown... You have (and I had) query.orderByField = <your_field>; but the doc has query.orderByFields = [ <your_field> ];
