Here's the situation: In the field, I visited 6 different locations. At each location I took a series of geotagged photos. Because of the inherent variation in GPS, even though I'm not moving from the spot, each geotagged photo at a given location has a slightly different coordinate than the others. I use the "GeoTagged Photos to Points" to convert my geotagged photos to an ArcGIS point feature class with the photos stored as attachments. What I'd like to do is perform some kind of "Mean Center"-like operation on each location's point cluster (let's say all points within 10 meters of each other), creating a new point feature class with a single averaged point location for each location's point cluster. In addition, I'd like to have the attachment photos for each point in the cluster attached to the resulting averaged point location. Any ideas?

My suspicion is that the Collector app for iOS (and maybe Android, too; I don't have one) uses a stationary speed filter when it acquires coordinates to prevent measurements from jumping around when the unit is stationary. I tried this out in the field using a points feature class based map. I put my iPhone 4S on a monumented location and let it settle for a minute. The location icon changes from a bearing (motion) arrow indicator to a solid blue circle indicating lack of movement. If I collect a series of measurements without moving the phone, the readings all have the exact same coordinates (not very likely based on the inherent repeatibility of GPS). This, I think, is because since the phone hasn't changed location within X meters (whatever is coded in the app), the app considers it stationary and uses the last set of coordinates acquired. If I collect a measurement on a monumented location, and then move off of it about 10 meters (the location icon shows movement) and then return the phone to the monumented location, let it settle until the stationary icon appears, and collect another measurement, the coordinates are different (like you'd expect). While I can see the practical aspect of such an arrangement, it makes it difficult to determine the inherent precision and/or accuracy of the system. Comments?

I'm using ArcGIS for Desktop 10.1. When I follow the tutorial for Collector called "Prepare your data in ArcGIS for Desktop" (http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/prepare-data-desktop.htm) and I get to the step to publish the data to our ArcGIS Online organization, the Feature Access parameters are "Create, Delete, Query, Update". The "Sync" parameter does not exist. Does the ability to allow users to work with feature service data offline exist only through ArcGIS 10.2?

I've created a multivalue list of table field names by calling a python script in ModelBuilder. I'd like to iterate through the list of field names and create SQL queries for the "Select Layer by Attribute" tool. I'd also like to use the field name as an in-line variable in the query. I know how to use a value variable when constructing an SQL query (ex. "FIELDNAME" = '%variable%') but not with a field name. Is it possible? Thanks, Paul

If a mosaic dataset is created in which there exist areas of overlap between multiple image footprints, is there any way the user can "cycle through" the images in the overlapped regions to bring the different images to the "front"?
