Come on ESRI! This is so overdue! Polygon and Line symbology options are verging on pathetic with respect to current day standards and capabilities in other software. It's practically impossible to make a decent looking map with more than 1 polygon layer that overlaps. Step up or users will find alternatives.

Massively overdue and yet we are still waiting. The limitations on polygon and line styling is extremely limiting and the workarounds (picture fill and tile maps) are clunky and often insufficient.

It would be awesome, if when a user clicks on a feature on a map that results in a pop-up appearing... if there is more than 1 feature at that location, if the first screen could show a list of those matching features (user to define which attribute is shown that helps identify) and then the user could jump straight to the feature of interest. Currently, the first feature is shown, with an small arrow and "1 of ..." in the corner. It is not overly obvious to users new to maps that there is more than feature identified, and if there are lots of results, even more than 4, it's pretty tedius to have to click next next next until the one of interest is found. A simple list that shortcuts to the feature of interest would be a huge improvment.

It would be great to have a new widget in the web-app builder, that is simply for the Pop-Up box infomation. To enable users to effectively 'dock' the pop-up box into a panel rather than it appearing on the map. To take it one step further, my next request would be, if the search/click results in more than 1 feature being selected/identified, that rather than just showing the first feature, with a tiny arrow and (1 of...) in the top corner - that instead a list of matching features is shown first (user to configure which attribute is used to identify) and then from the list they can quickly bring up the one they are interested in, as opposed to having to scroll through all the results.

Absolutely... was just logging in to make this request myself and figured surely someone else had asked! Frustrating that the "Group Filter" widget has such a button, but not the basic one - seems to be basic common sense and a simple thing to implement.

There is a known issues whereby legends in the print output using the Basic Viewer Application do not display correctly. (see BUG-000094164 and BUG-000086442). The issue is that the legend displays values as "Override X" when the default symbology is not used (ie. Styling is done in ArcGIS online) ESRI have no plans to fix the issue as they believe a satisfactory workaround is to republish the data with the desired symbology from ArcMap desktop. Legends are a fundamental part of every map, and something that users expect to be able to have work correctly. This 'workaround' does not seem to be a satisfactory solution for a number of reasons: Not all users will be using ArcGIS desktop (you can upload directly to AGOL as a zip file) and this is a key element of many users choosing AGOL - that they do not require a ArcGIS desktop license in order to use it. For these users, the only option they have for styling, is within AGOL Organisations may want to use the same data in multiple different maps, styled different ways. It makes no sense to have to publish multiple times (and hence use multiple storage credits) just to get legends to appear as expected.

Is there any way to force custom pop-ups to 'pop' up at the location selected when chosen? If not, could the developers consider adding this please... For linear and polygon features, when you select and save a custom popup you can do it at any location along or around the feature, ensuring it does not cover other surrounding features. When you play the story map live, it reverts to the centroid of the polygon or line - for many long line (or irregular polygon) features, the 'centroid' is no-where near the actual line...
