we do have a sample script available that helps you run logistic regression using the R statistical package right from inside ArcMap. here. Two of the required packages for R are no longer on CRAN and are outdated, 'clustTool' and 'Design'. Besides that, there have been some user issues with this script; read the comments. I haven't tested with 10.0 but can confirm issues with 10.1 Cheers

Convert Rasters to Points, Unfortunately this is not a viable option for large grids.

Hello. Since ascii files are soooo slow. I have a question. Can you provide guidance for doing this exact same process with .gzip ascii files? I was wondering if it would be possible without decompressing. -Cheers Hi Magnus, here is abit of code that could help get you started. I didn't test it but give it a try (see attached file). good luck -Ryan arcpy.env.overwriteOutput = 1
arcpy.CheckOutExtension('Spatial')
arcpy.env.scratchWorkspace = outPath
arcpy.env.workspace = dataPath
#create a list of rasters in the workspace
rasters = arcpy.ListRasters('','')
i = 0
#loop through rasters in list
for raster in rasters:
print "processing raster: %s" %os.path.join(dataPath,raster)
#convert nodata to zero
out1 = Con(IsNull(raster), 0, raster)
#sum rasters together
if i == 0:
out2 = arcpy.Raster(out1)
i += 1
else:
out2 = out2 + out1
i += 1
#save final output
out.save(os.path.join(outPath,'sumRas'))

yes you can use the Calculate Value tool like this: Check this blog Thanks for doing this blog. However, using the calculate value tool in your examples only continues workflow with tools. I need to feedback workflow into an iterator. Therefore I can't make the 'false' Calculate Value boolean a precondition to run the iterate feature tool.

Okay so I figured out the error message but I still need to do this: If precondition is 'true' continue the model -- this works. However, if precondition is 'false' don't stop the model, simply continue iterating the next input. Could I use a Calculate Value tool to do this?

Hello all. I have the "Get Count Tool" returning number of rows using "Select" tool in a feature class. This is a precondition for the rest of my model. So if false it will not continue model. However, the features class was selected from a folder using "Iterate Features". When the precondition is false, the model doesn't iterate the next available feature correctly. It simply gives this error: "All the inputs are not current" and after giving this error for every feature class in folder, I am left with only empty output. Clearly I am missing something important here. Any help? --attached image. Cheers!

I know Lauren Rosenshein has mentioned that in ArcGIS 10.1 will contain a new spatial stats tool called "Group Similar Features" but I can't afford to wait until this releases. (BTW: anybody know when?) So what I need to do is this: I have a points shapefile which I'd like to search for clusters that have a similar attribute value (within a range) that are of a determined size (within a range). For example. I'd like to know where at least x number of contiguous points (edges or diagonal) contain the attribute values of .85 -.95. Anyone have ideas? Help appreciated. Cheers!

have your ruled this out as simply being a symbology issue? have you tried to float one of the rasters in the raster calculator prior to division to ensure floating point division? Have you investigated the histogram for the data? Dan, thank-you for your input. Yes I have ruled out symbology and yes I have tried multiple float operations in the calculator (which yield the same results). The histogram is unfortunately based on the anomalous data. See photo of stats used for classification and histogram. Also, I have tried to recalculate statistics to no avail. Am I simply overlooking something simple? Any thoughts?

I have two 32bit float rasters that behave normally with all raster calculator functions except divide. If I divide raster1/raster2 the resulting raster has an anomalous range listed in the TOC. However, it stores the correct ratio value in the created raster which can be determined by using the identify tool. I've included two photos to display this. county_fta/county_ftb = county_divide The first photo shows the displayed range of the data (county_divide) which is incorrect and further calculations use these data instead of the correct ones that are contained within. The second photo shows the identify tool showing a normal data point chosen randomly. Any help greatly appreciated!
