All, Here is version .6 of the Search Editor Add-In. I have made a few bug fixes, enhancements and tested it on ArcGIS 10.2. Here is the list of the fixes... 1. Forms work on ArcGIS 10.2 2. Fixed bug with Team Members form. 3. Changed the order of the Originating Unit, Team Name, and Role text fields in the Team Members form. 4. Added Cell Phone, Vehicle Number, and Round Trip mileage to the Team Members table. 5. Created a Radio Log form to creating and editing entries in the Radio_Log table. And yes, I will share the code when I feel it's stable, so please test it and let me know of any problems. Thanks, Robert

I have posted an update to the Search Editor that relates to the last MapSAR update version 10.1.6. Here is a list of changes I made. 1. Went to the traditional version number scheme. This version is number .5 2. Incidents Form/Table - Added entries for Logo Location, Map Unit, and Magnetic Declination fields. 3. Assignments Form/Table - Added entries for new fields Transportation, Personal_Equipment, Team_Equipment, Comm_Instructions, DeBriefLocation, UTM_Start_E, and UTM_Start_N. 4. Team Members Form/Table - Added entry fields for new fields Role and isLeader. The Role field is a 25 character text field and isLeader is an integer field. Things to do... Have the forms zoom to selected feature. Please test this and let me know of any errors you get with as much information as possible. Thanks, Robert

Thank you Derek for your help. I got the clustering to work. I think I had most of it correct yesterday, but the layer that I was clustering was in a different spatial reference than the base layer. Once I altered the cluster layer's spatial reference to match that of the base layer everything works. One more question. Is there a way to set scale dependencies for the cluster layer? I want to be able to turn it off at 1:10,000 and then show the original layer. Thanks, Robert

I have been trying to modify the Point clustering sample found here http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=4174dcae65bf42e1b776c17da4b279c1 to use the results of a query task without much luck. Can anyone provide a modified version that uses a query task? Thanks, Robert

I have fixed some bugs to the code, improved the help doc, and added a new form to the program. This new form is called Import Searcher. It reads the data from the supplied Searchers.xls file and writes the information to the Team_Members table. The idea behind this form is to the have one person on one computer enter searcher information into the Searcher.xls file while another person can operate MapSAR on another computer. Once completed, the MapSAR operator can use the Import Searcher tool to import the file contents to the Team_Members table. More detailed information about help doc. Thanks, Robert

I have seen the code examples that do what you suggest. The way I want to go is to start the selection process by entering a state name in a text box. And I can select a state by entering the state name in a text box. My problem is getting the code that will create a spatial query on another layer. Thanks, Robert

I have posted a beta version of a Search Editor Add-In. The Add-In is designed to help the user edit some of the tables and feature classes used in MapSAR. Here is a list of the tables the Add-In manages, Incident, Reporting Party, Operation Period, Team Members, Teams, Debrief, Assignments, Segments, Point Last Seen, and Clues. If the layer in MapSAR is a table, the the Add-In will allow you to create, edit, and delete records. If the layer is a feature class, then the Add-In will allow you to only edit and delete records. It will not allow you to add or move features. You will have to create the features in an ArcMAP edit session. When appropriate, the domains that MapSAR uses are also updated. I have also included a draft version of the help document. As time permits or if there is interest, I will continue to edit it. I have been only able to test this on one computer, if you encounter any errors, please give me as much information as you can, and I will try to debug it. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks, Robert.

I want to select a polygon in one layer, run a spatial query on another layer and list the attributes of the selected features. For example, using the service at "http://sampleserver1.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Demographics/ESRI_Census_USA/MapServer/", I can select the State of California's feature (layer 5). I then want to take this feature and run a spatial query on the Counties layer (layer 3) and list the names of the selected counties. Thanks, Robert

Sorry, I do not check this forum as much as I should. Everything I write is for ArcGIS 10.1. I hope the MapSAR 10.1 will be out soon. I know that Jon and Co. are working hard in getting it out. Robert

You are not doing anything wrong. The errors are indicating that installer is looking for files compiled for version ArcGIS 10.0. Everyone will have to wait until the MapSAR is updated for ArcGIS 10.1. Robert
