I have been trying to add a Tile Map Service, with a 512x512 tile size, to an AGOL map but it seems that AGOL only supports 256x256 tiles. I haven't found any option to specify the tilesize like you can in a Leaflet map and it causes the data to be displayed way out of position, if at all. Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem?

Wondering if anyone has gotten this configuration to work on any recent version (10.6 or higher)? I'm trying to set up a site with both anonymous and windows authenticated web adaptors but AGS denies access to the anonymous service despite IIS being set up with a specific AD account. The AGS log says that access was attempted by 'Anonymous user'.

Justin, I know this post is quite old but I'm trying to implement a similar configuration (one adaptor using specified account instead of IUSR). We are using 10.7.1 now and I'm wondering if the workaround you posted above should still work in this new version of AGS? When I try to access the service which has been granted access to a specific AD group, to which the new anonymous user belongs, the AGS log just shows an 'Anonymous User' attempted to access the service. The service permission has been set to 'Private, available only to selected users' and the anonymous user's role is in the 'Allowed Roles' list. Is there a better/different way to accomplish this in new versions of AGS? I couldn't find anything besides this post. Thanks, Peter

Is it possible to request an image from an ImageServer service and have an existing raster function applied to it? We have several pre-defined functions available, as shown by the rasterFunctionsInfo REST endpoint. I can't find any documentation on how to do this. I've tried sniffing the connection from arcMap using Fiddler but it doesn't seem to be able to decrypt the POSTed data into a usable format so I can see the syntax being used. Has anyone been able to do this successfully and can share how they did it?

I'm also interested in finding out how to keep a dynamic join between a spatial layer and attribute table. Let me know if you ever find a solution.

Is it possible to resize the content of the layout compontents (image, text, iframe, etc.) in Enterprise Sites 10.6.1? When I drop a new element into a row container, it appears to just divide the space equally between all the elements in the row. I would like to have one of my elements farther off to the side - occupying 20-25% of the row instead of 50%. I saw a video from the developer summit that seems to show the ability to resize but it wasn't clear to me if that only applied to Hub and only to 10.7.1.

I have not asked our DBA to change any permissions up until now. The vast majority of layers in the schema will draw just fine and they all have been granted the same Oracle role (it is a read only role) so I'm not sure that that is the issue but it's worth checking. Do you recall what additional privileges you had to grant?

Joël, Did you find a solution to this problem? I just ran into this issue today, connecting from Desktop 10.6.1 to SDE 10.4.1 on Oracle. Most layers are fine but there are a few that throw the Schema out of date error. The state_id is different though - I'm getting 14670. Our DBA has connected to the problem layers as the schema owner and they draw fine for him. They also draw fine for me using the exact same .mxd file from ArcCatalog 10.5.1. I did notice that when looking at the problem layers properties in ArcMap, the connection details were different from the other layers even though they were all added through the same database connection file (.sde).

I was using the Chef client. After digging into the scripts a bit further I found that there is code in the portal.rb file that should update the server configuration to add the federated server as the hosting server. For whatever reason, this wasn't happening when I ran my federation role. I tried it a few times - same result - so I removed the federated server through portaladmin and ran the script again and it seemed to take this time. Not sure if it's an issue or not but I now have 24 PostreSQL processes running after adding the hosting server.

I've been trying to completely automate our Portal installation using Chef but can't find any recipe for adding our federated server as the hosting server. Is this possible using Chef - I would have thought if you could add a Federated Server you could also add that same server as the hosting server. I do have "is_hosting": true in my federation role json file but it does not seem to have any effect.

I'm hoping someone on this thread might be able to answer this question for me as the documentation I've seen is somewhat ambiguous to me. When installing Portal and federating with an AGS site that has two or more servers, can you select one of the AGS servers as the hosting server or do you just pick the site ? In our dev environment we only have one server but in production we have a multi-server site. I'm curious about this because in dev, when installing the relational datastore, it puts it on a local drive but on a multi-server site will it put a copy of the datastore on all server's local drives? Do you need to specify a UNC path for the relational datatore? Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere but I haven't been able to find direct answers to these question yet. Peter

I think the answer to my question may be implied, but I'll ask just to be sure. Is there any way to use Windows Authentication for both Portal and ArcGIS Server? We currently use AD with token security on our ArcGIS Servers (v10.5.1) and would prefer not to have to switch to BUILTIN security in order to federate with Portal. The reason being that we will host non-Portal content on these servers also (i.e. outside of the 'Hosted' folder).

We are working on a new installation of Server 10.4.1 and have enabled Verbose logging but the server still does not generate any statistics. I have gone into the admin page and set Usage Reports Enabled = true (usagereports) as well as Usage metering enabled = true (log settings). When I query the log files in Manager, I see all the expected results for the map requests I have made but none of these are reflected in the statistics graphs (total requests last 24 hours). When I run the useagereport from the admin web page, all that comes back is a series of NODATA values for each timestamp. Am I missing any additional steps to get the statistics to be generated properly? I'm pretty sure I followed all the instructions I did find, correctly. Peter

Mark, It's still not working quite the way I'd like it to (or think it should) but I have found a working solution. To recap, the individual locators will publish fine from an .sd file without including the data. We manually copy the locator files to the server publishing directory and we have a datastore configured that translates the publisher path (d:\locators) to the server path (d:\locators\published). With the composite locator though, the only way I was able to get it to publish successfully and reference the existing individual locators, was to create a datastore for the publishing directory (D:\locators\published) and check the box for the server folder path to be the same as the publisher path. I copied the composite locator into the publishing directory (D:\locators\published) and was then able to successfully publish either directly using the locator or by first creating a service definition file (.sd) and then publishing it as a service. It seems that ArcGIS server is getting confused about the path name translations of the individual locators when you try to publish it to a directory path other than where it is currently located. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the in the composite locator's .loc file, it references the location of the participating locators as "." instead of using a full path like "D:\locators"?
