Hi Louie, I just wanted to say that I was having this exact problem (able to run in ArcCatalog but not via a script). After running the PowerShell commands, I was able to run the script. Thank you very much! Peggy

I have installed the ArcGIS Solutions add-in to ArcGIS Pro 2.4.2, so that I can modify the domain of my hosted feature service on ArcGIS Enterprise Portal 10.6.1. Here are my steps: In ArcGIS Pro, I add my HFS to a new map from My Content (this confirms I am signed in as the owner) Launch ArcGIS Solutions Click 'Sign in to ArcGIS Organization > Finish Click 'Configure an ArcGIS Solution' > Next Step > Skip (do not need to add any new fields) In the 'Modify Domains' window, I select the layer from the drop down list > this loads the fields in the 'Field's drop down list. However, I get a red X in the Input Layer or Table saying Error Unable to connect to the Hosted Feature Service (see attached) I am not sure why I am getting that error - I even tried in step 4 to add a field and it successfully added a field, so it shows that it was able to reach out to the hosted feature service. I also repeated the same steps for an ArcGIS Online hosted feature service, and I was able to successfully run the tool to modify domains. Any ideas? Thank you, Peggy

We have a user who created a hosted feature layer created from Excel that he is unable to delete. The item is not delete protected, and the only message returned is 'Unable to delete item'. I have tried with Administrative rights as well with the same results. Is there any way for Administrators to force delete an item? Thank you, Peggy

Hi Hilary, Yes, the firewall is enabled for outbound communication via port 443. I need to correct myself on my previous post, my issue is with Portal to Portal, not Portal to Online collaboration. Portal to Online collaboration worked after we added the ArcGIS.com domains to our proxy UAB. I am currently working with Esri Tech Support, and the case was recently escalated. Will let you know if I have any updates!

Hello Adam Repsher, Hilary Curtis, I just wanted to add that I have almost exactly the same set up as Adam, the only difference being that my user was added as DOMAIN\user1. I am having the same issue as Adam. Thanks, Peggy

Hi Courtney, They were created as document url items on ArcGIS Online, so there are no urls off the Open Data site, it simply launches a save as dialog to save the zip file - if I hover over the link on the data catalogue page, it just provides a link to the zip file that is hosted on our web servers. Also please note that our open data site at the moment is private. I have attached a screenshot of the two datasets, which shows the direct download link on the bottom left when I mouse hover over the item. Thank you

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for increasing the exposure of this post- I haven't put a tech support ticket in for this yet, as similar posts seemed to get some response, but I may have to do go that route... Courtney Claessens was very helpful with resolving Tom Casady's similar issue with the orphaned data, perhaps she can help me too.

I had previously shared 7 feature services and several document url items on ArcGIS Online to the Open Data group. We then decided not to share any non feature service type items, and removed sharing on all document url items (these were links to zip files). I am finding 2 document url items have been left on the Open Data site. I have tried:- Unsharing - no change Deleting the items on ArcGIS Online - no change Updating the index - no change (in fact I do not see it in the list of items to re-index) Unassign the Open Data group in group manager and changed the group from public to private (see this post). I then reversed this order to enable the group as public and re-assigned to Open Data in group manager - no change I'm not sure what else I need to do. I have seen other posts of people providing links to the dataset on Open Data / ArcGIS Online, and esri is able to somehow delete these orphaned records, but since I have already deleted these items on ArcGIS Online, I do not have any links to provide. Any advice?
