Hello, I have a feature service hosted on an internal server with a table of attachments. I am using these attachments in an AGOL web application with pop-ups. The pop-up link opens a new browser window with a URL similar to "servername/arcgis/rest/services/Feature_Dataset_Name/Feature_Class_Name/FeatureServer/0/75362/attachments/62855". I was wondering if there is a way to generate a batch table that will contain the URL's for all of my attachments? I would like to use these URL's in applications outside of AGOL. Thanks in advance!

I never fully resolved this problem, but did reduce the frequency of the error by increasing the service timeout lengths.

Recently upgraded to ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2 and Windows 8.1 because of a hardware upgrade. Now, connecting to SDE geodatabase on server takes approximately 30 minutes. Previously took 1-2 minutes. Server is running Windows Server 2012 standard and ArcGIS Server 10.2.2. Geodatabase is version 10, Microsoft SQL Server. Has anyone experienced this? I'm working with a tech support person but not making much progress.

I need to perform a few dozen spatial joins (Version 10, SP3), with the join features having about 1,400 attribute columns. I need the merge rule for the integer fields to be sum, rather than first, which is the default. I was planning on performing these tasks using model builder, until I realized that I would need to change the merge rules one at a time in the spatial join field map dialog. So, I started thinking about a Python (2.6) script, but my skills are pretty basic, and I am really struggling to understand the FieldMap and FieldMappings objects and how to use them to control the merge rules for my 1,400 fields. If anyone could advise and/or provide an example I would be really grateful.

Hello, I have a feature class of destinations with a value field. I would like to run an analysis that stops when the sum of the values of the identified features reaches a certain target. Can I perform this type of analysis with NA? I have some python experience but not enough to start from scratch if that's what's required. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The OD cost matrix analysis help page says "The results of OD cost matrix analyses often become input for other spatial analyses where the network cost is more appropriate than straight-line cost." I would like to learn more but I'm having trouble finding anything. Is anyone aware of resources or further reading on this topic? Thanks!

Update; I was using Feature to Line to create my line features. I should have been using Polygon to Line. Results are much improved.

I am new to the parcel fabric model and am working through the Loading Data into a Parcel Fabric white paper. I have brought parcel polygons into a GDB and created corresponding line features. After creating my topology I've found that all of my line features that are coincident violate the Must Not Intersect or Touch Interior rule. There are thousands of errors in all. Can I mark these errors as exceptions? If they need to be corrected, what is the best way to correct them? Thanks in advance!

That corrects the syntax error, but it still doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Jason, Thanks for the reply. Your directory path has a slash at the end; that gives me a syntax error in IDLE. When I remove the slash (see below), the script runs, but the metadata file does not get imported. Any thoughts?
import os, sys, traceback, string, arcpy, glob
try:
directory = r"C:\Rectified Inundation Maps"
for tif in glob.glob(os.path.join("*.tif")):
arcpy.ImportMetadata_conversion(r"C:\Rectified Inundation Maps\contact_PMI_maps.xml", tif)
print "Import finished."

I have a group of raster datasets, some .Tiff's, some .jpg's. I want to perform arcpy.ImportMetadata_conversion on them. I recall doing something similar in Windows command line using something like... FOR %f in (*.tif) DO arcpy.ImportMetadata_conversion(example.xml, *.tif) I think that's called a wildcard? Is there something equivalent I can do in Python? Could someone show me an example? Please forgive my newbieness.

I see now. I haven't tried to use attachments in quite that way yet, so I'm afraid I'm not sure. This thread that I posted in a while back may be along the same lines and shed some light?

So, you're consuming the new service in Desktop? Try the HTML Popup button (see attached). I've found it takes a couple of tries to get the service to respond with the attachments initally so click again if it doesn't work at first. Also, you can check to ensure your service has attachments by looking at the layer's REST endpoint. It should read "Has Attachments: True."
