Yes Miaogeng we Use ArcGIS Online environment with ACTGOV enterprise account Use ArcGIS Online hosted feature service Answers to other questions: 1) Our base map is not the issue. It gets attached to maps that can be taken off-line or on-device. The bug has only occurred after the recent update by esri developer of Collector app to Android version 18.0.1. 2) App crash occurred after update. 3) Fix is as follows: Select manage - remove feature layers only - download - select base map - download - see this video of the procedure: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1i0RAMVB1HrfY6B0mANQz0cCY59UnenDC I am advising staff and contractors not to update to 18.0.1 until bug can be resolved. As issue does not occur with previous version of Collector app.

Hello Miaogeng We have an enterprise account ACTGOV in Australia. Collector app is used on device or offline. That means we attach a tiled base map to the feature layer. Then edits have to be synced to ArcGIS on-line. The fix to this bug (Collector on device map crashes when sync attempted) is to select manage - remove features only. This unattaches the base map from the map concerned. Then you select download and choose the base map - and then select download again to reattach the base map. Then sync of new edits will work. The bug was introduced by the update to Android Collector app version 18.0.1. So the developers will have an understanding of why this has occurred. Regards Steve Taylor

Getting a sync error on version 18.0.1 Android Collector. App crashes. Fix is to unattach base map then reattach. Then app will edit and sync again. Please investigate and remedy.

Try flicking Collector app out to fully close it. Then reopen. Or another work around is to open another app that uses GPS like Back Country Navigator or similar. Then reopen Collector. This may get you sorted till esri fix the NMEA warning and intermittent location bug.

It got a location. But interestingly I just opened Collector and could not get a location. I had been using the app earlier in the day. I flicked the app out and got the NMEA warning and got a location.

Hi Dan Could not get location better than 1200m on battery saving but no NMEA warning. On device only got a NMEA warning and a good location accuracy of 3m.

This NMEA warning is now occuring on all our latest Samsung S7s that run the latest version of Collector. They are also intermittently failing to get a location fix. The only remedy is to flick out the app to completely close it and reopen it. Very frustrating for our Rangers and other field staff. This issue was first reported 2 months ago.

This was first reported 2 months ago to esri. All our newest Samsung S7s that run the latest version of Collector are now getting the NMEA warning and intermittently failing to get a location fix. Noticed something interesting Dan. If you open Collector then close. Then switch to aeroplane mode and reopen Collector the integrated receiver works fine. No NMEA warning and full location details in the integrated receiver - vertical as well as horizontal accuracy. Then if you turn off aeroplane mode and open Collector you get the NMEA warning and occasionally the integrated receiver bug appears resulting in no location fix. Odd.....

Hi Dan Jade from esri Australia has opened a case because other unrelated users are experiencing the same issues I have described: "This does appear to be an issues with Samsung phones. We now have record of this occurring on Samsung, S7, S7 Edge, S8 and Note."

The bug is intermittent so very hard to get one of Rangers to video when they mostly work one up. It is not just a NMEA warning message. There is a intermittent bug associated with this resulting in Collector not updating the location. This is a significant issue as it is happening on all our Samsung S7 and S7 Edge running the latest Android OS. Some prompt action is warranted.
