In my humble opinion and in my humble experience with PRO, the release 2.1 is the worst release containing many bugs. I suggest you to update to the latest PRO version.

I'm not sure, but I think VB is no more supported by ESRI. I'm happy it worked fine for you, too!

HI! I tried a simple tool and it worked fine! I only added a precondition (2) and in the Field calculator's Expression field I used the variable %Date% inside two superscripts (like this '%Date%' (4)) and I used Python_9.3 as "Expression Type" (5).

I need to maintain a specific spacing/distance between features during editing, i.e. using an halo as editing-support. Basically I'am looking for an equivalent tool/setting to ArcMap 10.x's "sketch halo" (in the "Production Mapping" toolbar) so that I could also approximately understand buildings's area (using a satellite image in background) during editing (here an example: https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/extensions/production-mapping/editing-with-a-sketch-halo.htm). How can I do it with ArcGIS Pro? Thanks in advance

Thanks very much indeed for your answers! I wished ESRI had found a direct solution to composite keys....but it seems they have not yet found it . I've found something interesting in the "Spatial ETL" module: Creating a Unique Identifier | CRCCalculator - FME Knowledge Center . It's about the creation (virtual? phisical? ...and above all: "on the fly"? I mean...in the meantime I create a new feature?) of "Natural keys" (Natural key - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) I'm not sure it could be the solution; I think it's only another way to create a new phisical "ID field" made of a new string based on two or more fields' content. I'll give it a try! @Ted: I'm not very expert in "data view" but it seems Arcgis creates a virtual view table so that I can't assign indexes (neither composite) to that. Thanks again to everyone! Paolo

Thanks Dan for your answer but...it's not exactly what I need, I think. I'm sorry for my english....I try to explain me better. I want to join (or relate...it doesn't matter) the feature class "Parcel" with the external table "Parcelinfo". "Parcel" has got three fields:"A"(Administrative_Unit code), "B" (Parcel Number), "C" (Cadastrian sheet number). Separately they aren't unique and they can't be my primary key. Instead, the concatenation's content of A+B+C creates a unique primary key. I've got the same situation in the Parcels' table. Is there a way to tell ArcGIS that there's not a unique field as a primary key, but the primary key is created using three fields (A+B+C)? Can I do that without phisically creating a new field with the content of A+B+C? Thanks in advance, Paolo

Hi everybody, I'm guessing if in ArcGIS it is possible to use the join or create a relationship class commands using multiple fields as primary/foreign keys. I mean...I've got field A, B and C. Separatley they are not a primary key, but if I concatenate A+B+C they become a primary key. What I've done since today is creating an extra field that I populate with a concatenation expression using the field calculator. This is an annoying solution since I've to create a redundant field in both the primary/foreign tables (I often can't do that because of the feature class schema) and I've to "maintain" that redundant fields (executing the field calculator's concatenation expression each time there are some changings). I can't believe there's not another more pratical solution... I will appreciate any and every suggestion! Thanks in advance, Paolo

I answer to myself! Luckly Dan Iseminger from FME gave me an help. Here attached is an FME workflow that solves my problem. I changed a little bit it inserting an "anchor snapper" transform to make the vertices coincide perfectly to the points and..... It works perfectly (ArcGIS 10.1)!! Thanks again Dan! Paolo

Hi all! I need to automatically remove some vertices (about 10000) on multiple polygons. I know the exact position of these vertices I want to delete in the polygons and I created a point feature class of them. I need to know if I can delete those vertices using the points file. I created a little buffer around those points and used the buffer as "erase" in the erase tool, as described here: http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/74716/how-to-identify-and-delete-duplicate-vertices I tried different buffers according to the dataset 's xy resoution... Unluckly it didn't work. Please, could you suggest me a better solution? Thanks in advance Paolo

Hi Joshua ! I've got a little problem. I used the script in a .gdb containing points, polygons, lines and annotations. I get this error (also see attached): "ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000338: Inputs must be either all Feature Classes, Tables or Rasters; not mixed. Failed to execute (Append)." Could it depend because I've got many FC ending with "_line" but without identical FC ending with "_line00"? Or could it depend because I'm not completlly sure Schemas between FC_line and FC_line00 are identical (but they would have to be!!). Any suggestion? Thanks in advance! paolo

WOW!! Thank you very much Joshua!! Great job!! It works perfectly!! Since I could also find _polygon00 and _point00 and beacuse I don't know python to use only one script for all the three situations (line, point, polygon), I triplicated your line00 script and adapted it and put the three scripts in a modelbuilder flow... It works!! Really thank you very very much again!! Paolo

Hi everybody! I've got ONE file geodatabase with about 400 feature classes (FC). Here attached is a part of that .gdb. I need to merge that features (or better append one feature - 00 - to the other) that has got the same name except for the "00". For example: "_01P11_line" must be merged with "_01P11_line00" or better "_01P11_line00" (input) appended to "_01P11_line" (target) and, after the merging/appending, delete the "00" feature class. I was thinking to proceed with an iteration in modelbuilder or/and a python script... could someone help me, please? Thanks in advance Paolo
