Suggestion: I would like to suggest allowing generic widget names like 'Print' or 'Filter' to present without a numeric suffix when displayed within a Section widgets view. Description: When an Experience Builder (EB) project contains multiple pages, the names of duplicate widgets are currently assigned a numeric suffix. While this can be easily addressed by renaming the widget in the Outline, it poses a challenge when dealing with different views within the Section widgets. For instance, if I have 'Print' widgets on two separate pages within Section widgets, I am presented with a clear 'Print' label on the first page, but the second page displays 'Print 2'. Attempting to rename the view results in an error stating, "The label is duplicated." I've come across a workaround, as discussed in this post, but this solution doesn't seem sustainable when working with numerous pages in my Experience Builder (EB) project. I propose a more user-friendly approach that allows for generic widget names like 'Print' or 'Filter' to be displayed without numeric suffixes within Section widgets views, making the user experience more intuitive and eliminating the need for workarounds.

Thanks for the response. No one is is touching any of the items. I have recreated the issue in many file locations using many newly created workbooks and gdb's; other users causing the lock was the first check. The issue only persists in ArcPro. The workbook is used similar to a survey for non-agency/GIS users. It gathers information on new building locations for a larger project; in a perfect world we would use Survey123 or something similar but we do not have that option at the moment.

Hello, I would like to inquire on an issue my agency is currently facing with a specific workflow involving an Excel workbook with list data validation setup. Here's how the workflow typically unfolds: Users fill out rows within the Excel workbook, benefiting from the data validation that allows drop-down cell values to be selected. Subsequently, the workbook is meant to be imported into ArcPro, with one of its sheets being incorporated into a project geodatabase as a table. The goal is to perform further operations on this table. However, we have encountered a persistent 'lock' issue that poses a challenge to the workflow's successful execution. In most instances, we are able to load the sheet into a geodatabase. Regrettably, attempting any subsequent actions on it eventually triggers an error. I have attached the error message that appeared when I tried to display the x/y off the table. Additionally, you'll observe in the accompanying image that the geodatabase now bears a red exclamation point. While I can refresh it and see a feature class created from the display x/y operation, the dataset is unfortunately empty. Normally, we have no issue importing Excel workbooks into Pro and performing similar operations, but these workbooks do not carry any data validation. I have tried a few things in an attempt to work around this issue, including clearing all data validation and saving the workbook as a new Excel file, as well as converting it to a CSV file after removing all data validation. These attempts have not resolved the issue within ArcPro. Interestingly, in ArcMap, I've been able to convert the Excel workbook to a CSV format without the need for data validation clearing, and I have encountered no errors in doing so; though I have faced errors while attempting to use the 'Excel to Table' tool in ArcMap on the same workbook. I am hoping for some insights or suggestions to help us resolve this issue, if this is a bug, I'm reporting it. Thanks, Sam

@JosephCarl2 and @TomThompson2 I hate to provide this as my response but I went the "start from scratch" route, After going through all the steps again (and I believe creating a new EB) I was able to use the print service. Ultimately, I believe there is still an issue with EB and the print widget/service.

Hello, I'm having trouble get the print widget to work with EB. A custom layout service was created and published to our 10.8.1 enterprise - this document was used as my guide: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/10.8/create-web-apps/windows/tutorial-publish-additional-layouts-for-printing-with-arcgis-pro.htm I can successfully add it into the printing utility service in AGOL and use the layout in the print widget within web appbuilder and in the print tab of web maps. When I add the same service URL into EB, the layout is not offered and neither are any test layouts. From my understanding, I should see all layout options in that bottom right of the image above. Here is a look at what I see in the print utility service section of AGOL (and which I expected to see reflected in the image from EB above): I'm not sure if this is related but the URL I've generated does not have the ending "%20Task", it ends with "/Export%20Web%20Map" - does this matter? The layout was published from ArcPro as synchronous. I did get an error message during the Analyze portion of sharing the layout as a web tool that said, "00256 Server version 10.8.1 tool ExportWebMap_server parameter Format has changes to its datatype changed". Grateful for any help! Sam

We have just started to use HUB at my work. I grew concerned after seeing a warning pop-up about an image already existing but I am unable to find the image anywhere in my organizations content. I briefly looked at your notebook and I'm understanding it as you can only find previously uploaded images by turning them into content items, they are not searchable otherwise - is this correct? Thank you for the script. ESRI please fix this bug! You should be able to delete/overwrite images on the HUB, not just hide them.

Ah, I hadn't seen this additional reply. Is this specifically steps for adding a 'published .csv' to AGOL? I attempted the first step with an Google Sheet and was still presented with all integers.

Hi Vanessa, I haven't attempted any more tries with this for the moment but I did look at the link you sent - as the blog post was created in 2012 I wonder if this was pre- the ability to add Sheets via a cloud connection? It seems Esri adding a mapping ability to field data types would solve our problems! I will let you know if anything changes on my end, thank you for suggestions and help! Samantha

Hi Peter, I believe those are the issues though I look to @VanessaGoold on the second one, I haven't attempted that route. It seems like having the ability to specify a fields data type with Google Sheets would solve both of the problems? I shared some similar dummy data with you via Google Sheets. Thank you for your help! Sam

Hi Peter, I'm wondering if there is a workaround like this when importing Google Sheets? When I go to import a Sheet from my Google Drive I am not presented with the option to change the field types. Currently I have a ZIP code field I need to bring into AGOL as a string but every time I import it converts it to an integer. I tried specifying in the sheet beforehand that it is a string but no luck. Thanks, Sam

I was able to use the widget finally, I'm using Portal and had a few more hoops to jump through. I was hoping for an alternative to the Smart Editor widget which works fine but not totally intuitive for outside users. I did not understand that this widget was for use solely with a table even though I read the readme file. Maybe I can create a view layer with my data to use this tool but still see changes reflected in the symbology of the map? Anyway, the tool is working as advertisted for basic edits in the table.

Thank you for the reply, I think I've been going about this the wrong way? I'm looking for table edits to directly affect my spatial layer e.g. the status field in a table changes creating the symbology of the feature to change. I have been loading my spatial layer, and therefore the layers table I would like to edit, into the LocalLayer widget. Now I'm understanding this as: I should have a standalone table for the tool to work. I have been loading my feature into the LocalLayer widget and still receive the 'Table is either not a table or not editable' warning. I was hoping to find a tool a little more intuitive than the standard edit widgets provided but I might need to keep searching.
