Thank you, Rupert. That is a big help! One other question if I may: Is there a limit to the number of tabs and/or the number of points that one can display in a Shortlist story map? -Nanci

Three questions, all related to the Shortlist story map. I want to be able to include multiple images and a video in the description panel for each point on a Shortlist Story Map. The Tabbed Map Series Story Map enables one to embed multiple images and videos in the description panel, but not for every point feature. I want that same capability for the Shortlist Story Map, but I want it for each point feature on the map so that when a user clicks on the point or clicks on the thumbnail, the description panel will appear and will include additional images, a video, and text. So, my questions are: 1. Is it possible to put additional images in the description panel on the left side of the Shortlist story map (i.e, in addition to the image that appears at the top of the panel)? If yes, how is this done? 2. Is it possible to add a video to the description panel...not simply a link to to a video that opens in a new browser tab, but a video that will play right there inside the story map's panel? If so, how is this done? If the above is not possible.... 3. How do I get pop-ups to appear in the map area of the Shortlist Story Map so that a user can click on a point on the map and have a pop up appear there? Thanks!

Ian, FYI - it seems that only Civil 3D and Map 3D have the capability to assign a geographic coordinate system to a drawing. This is according to AutoDesk support.

Dan and Ted, I have tried creating a prj file for the cad drawing, converting from cad to geodatabase with the conversion tool, converting to shp file, etc, etc. and none of this works. A spatial reference is assigned to the dwg file, but it still does not appear in the correct location. I think this is because the dwg is still not georeferenced via control points. In order to create a world file, I have to create control points, but I want to avoid having to manually pick control points because it introduces inaccuracy, especially in areas where it not easy to see points/locations that correspond to the dwg and the GIS base map. I am thinking the only solution is to have the CAD technician assign the coordinate system when the drawing is created. Ian, Do you know if other versions of AutoCAD have this capability (to create drawings with a geographic coordinate system) or is it only possible in Civil 3D? Thanks! Nanci

GIS and/or AutoCAD Users: Is there any way to get a CAD drawing file to overlay a GIS basemap in the correct geographic location without having to georeference the CAD drawing? It seems that defining a spatial referenceffor the CAD drawing file does not do the trick. Does the person who created the CAD drawing have to assign a geographic coordinate system in AutoCAD? If so, what version of AutoCAD is needed to be able to do that? Thanks for help!
