We are having a few challenges trying to migrate to Attribute Rules from Attribute Assistant - our challenges currently are: 1. When a point is created, we would like to get the Name from an intersecting polygon (neighborhood, park name, zip code, city, etc) from a FC that is in the map from another database on the same ArcGIS Server instance. The fact that Attribute Rules can only work between data in the same database is not working for us - we are having to make duplicate copies of those layers into our database, and in some cases a View to another database - if our DBA will let us get readonly permissions to the other database for one of our logins. 2. Not being able to use a geocoder to fill in an address is also a hang up... we are going to have to copy our constantly updated address layer in, and use nearest neighbor... it's making more work. Finally, and not related - we also tried to make an incremental id and have been given a work around to make a db sequence, but we first hit the wall of Pro being updated frequently - which gives us access to new Arcade versions, but when we tried to publish the layer with that Attribute Rule attached onto our Portal that is only updated every couple of years... the rule was incompatible as it was too new.. Until there are replacements for all these items we had in Attribute Assistant, we are getting to do a lot more manual tasks... not making me feel warm and fully about having to replace ArcGIS Desktop with ArcGIS Pro, which is no longer under maintenance for security patches, so we are being urged to uninstall it 😞

With ArcGIS desktop going away, we are trying to migrate our Attribute Assistant items to Attribute Rules and can't find how to replace this geocoding rule. Help!! We are running out of time and don't see this feature being replaced?!

Users are not local administrators on their pcs in my organization. We need to request IT to install updates, so we need a way for the IT department to be notified when there is an update to install, or so that I can forward the update message again. Functionality via an App might be a nice extra convenience, but should never replace email/website notifications. Please bring the SUBSCRIBE option back to the website. Thanks!

I was looking for a way to reorder All Other Values in Pro, around my other Unique Values. I have a handful of tree stumps and other non-trees grouped into one category called Other, and the rest of the trees in this FC are "all other values" - labeled as Trees. It would be great to have my Trees (All other values) at the top of the list, and my Others category at the bottom... but can't mix/swap the two. 😞

Has this been resolved? I just created a new Tree feature class, setting 10 fields to NOT allow nulls - some of those fields have Coded Value Domains. I try to add my first tree test point, and get this error. I am not going to have a default tree species set, for example?! I want to pick one from the list while adding the tree. Help!

We are getting this issue as well. We aren't sure the last time we were able to analyze this 10.5 SDE database successfully - where can you look? I can check in Include System Tables, and I can Select All datasets to analyze, but when I include Analyze Base or Delta we get the error on SOME layers in the database. We were doing this because we are getting an error replicating that we can't resolve - null values in a field that we can't find null values in. We have posted and reconciled, and deleted all versions under the default, compressed, and can't analyze or replicate successfully.

I get these errors when trying to Export an XRay report from a geodatabase in ArcCatalog for a particular database. I have created a report on this database before, and can still create one for other databases - why it doesn't like this database right now is beyond me.. Problem During Load Problems came up in the following areas during load: Workbook Setting This file cannot be opened because of errors. Errors are listed in: ....c:\users\login\appdata\local\microsift\windows\inetcache\content.mso\bb634191.log OK (and then this one comes up) Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC Please ensure you have Microsoft Excel installed. Also there may have been an Excel problem that you could see in the Windows Task Manager: do you have duplicate dataset names in the Geodatabase across multiple schemas? Then I hit OK and get a Failed to Export geodatabasename error. I last ran XRay in May successfully on this database in April. I am not sure what has changed... maybe some Windows/Microsoft patches in the background?? Maybe a new feature class or domain?! No new ArcGIS (running 10.5.1), XRay, or Excel (2013) installation.

I'm very happy to hear that. Geocoders have gone downhill since 9.2.. we need them to be as accurate as possible in a lot of cases - including down to the unit. I haven't dug much but they worked with a separate unit field in 9.2, and then units needed to be included in the full address field after a #, with no spaces at 10.1... and now I haven't dug much but have heard that there won't be any way to geocode down to the unit since our upgrade to 10.5?! With new "features" I would hope good old features should be kept as well.

Each login to ArcGIS Online should have the ability to see their use of credits, and when they are about to perform an operation that will use credits, they could be notified so they are aware of what they are doing. I can allocate a certain number of credits per named user in my organization, but they don't know how much something uses or how much they have used. They should be able to see how much they have used. In addition they should be able to be aware of how much they're using per task, otherwise they can't justify how much more they need me to allocate. It would make my users far more responsible in their usage. At this time, it's not obvious when you're about to use credits if you have an allocation. The VIEW STATUS under Organization where you can see how many credits have been used (for everyone including themselves) isn't an option they can see without my turning on Administrative Privileges permissions - all 3 have to be checked on - View All>Members, Groups, and Content. Seems like there should be something more granular - at the least, they should be able to see their own without my having to let them have access to see the organization's usage and more importantly, that shouldn't be the same permission that allows them to see everyone's content. The permissions on ArcGIS Online need to be fleshed out more - more descriptive, and granular. Here's another example - a Business Analyst User needs "Publish hosted feature layers" turned on in order to create a project?! I should probably add this as another idea, but here goes - I had one user accessing ArcGIS Online services through ArcMap - using the ESRI World Locator instead of our own, and using a third of our year's credits before I set up allocations. I would like to have a permission to turn off access to ArcGIS Online services from ArcGIS Desktop as well.

I have an open ticket with ESRI now to understand how I can use relates and relationship classes published in a map service locally - consumed by ArcGIS Online. The map services are published using 10.2.2 server. We use the service with several relationship classes in CityWorks without issue - but when I bring the map service into ArcGIS Online, we have issues seeing some of the relationships - do I understand correctly that ArcGIS Online can't use relationship classes published in services at 10.2.2? We have a relationship class between a fc and table, and then another two between that table and two other tables. The relationships between the tables is seen on the rest server, but not the one between the fc and table??
