Hi Ismael- Thanks for the quick response & information, including the link. I'm testing the following to use instead of .<=today(): date(format-date($,'%Y/%m/%d'))<= today() Looking forward to the update on Aug 1 to see if it resolves the issue. ~Nicole

I'm working with a user to develop a web form for public reporting. The Excel file has 2 date questions - BB_HarvestDate and CheckinScheduledDate. The BB_HarvestDate field has a constraint of .<=today() to validate that the user selects a date of today or in the past. The CheckinScheduledDate field has a constraint of .>=today() to validate that the user selects a date of today or in the future. Both of these constraints worked perfectly in the web form in 2 different browsers, mobile browsers (Safari, Chrome) and the native iOS S123 app last Friday. This morning the date constraint on just the first date question (BB_HarvestDate) is not working properly in the native iOS app. If a user selects today's date, it throws an error and doesn't allow submission of the record. Today IS July 29, 2019. Here's a screenshot of the question w/ its constraint .<=today (this is NOT working in the native iOS app). The other date question (CheckinScheduledDate) with the constraint of .>= today() works fine. Has anyone else ran into this?

Hello! I'm working with my agency's Legislative Affairs Team on a Web App Builder app & need to provide them the capability to edit member information for both state and federal elected officials. I successfully enabled editing for the legislative districts, but am having trouble with the congressional layer. I enabled editing on the layer, and in the web map, editing is functioning as expected. However, the same layer in WAB does not have the editing option. I've double and triple-checked the settings on the layer itself, in the web map, and WAB, and it is set-up exactly the same as the legislative layer (which is working as expected). Any ideas? This seems so simple - what am I overlooking? See screenshots below.... Layer Editing Works in the Web Map Layer Editing is not available in WAB

Update...my co-worker mentioned that sometimes things go funky when she's been working on a form, so she creates a new survey, and copies everything over (copy+paste) into the new Excel sheet. I tried this and it resolved the issue, not sure why, but it did. Excel now open from Connect in a blink, just as it was before the mystery issue occurred.

Thanks James! I gave that a try and Excel just hung for a couple of minutes. I disabled all the add-ons I had and now Excel eventually opens after ~30 secs, so while it sucks to wait, at least I can make progress. It's strange how it just started happening out of the blue. I know it's hard to say, but do you think a fresh install of Office would help? Guess it couldn't hurt?

Curious thing here & have spent the last hour troubleshooting without luck. I was working on a S123 form earlier in the afternoon, editing and publishing, adjusting the form w/o any trouble, and out of the blue - Excel won't open and hangs at "Opening SOLVER.XAML (100%)". I can't kill it via task manager because it's not in the list of applications running. I've tried restarting my computer, and uninstalling/reinstalling Survey123 Connect (v3.3.51) w/o luck. Running it on Win10. Also tried disconnecting from my company's VPN to see if that made a difference - it didn't. Spent time Googling the error and nothing came up. The only thing that gets the form to open in Excel is by launching Excel from the taskbar, but not sure if that'll break things if I make edits and save. Ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

I tried that - same result. Then I realized something else - the regex constraint IS working as it should. However, the presentation is misleading. On closer examination I realized that entering 7 digits triggers the constraint message, so that's good. The bad thing is that the text in the field stays red once the regex condition is met (2 alpha's+6 digits), which misled me to believe there was an error. I'm sure users will be confused too, as the text stays red, even tho' the regex constraint is met. Users will think that what they've entered is incorrect, when in fact, it is valid. Some more feedback....I wish that the constraint messages didn't appear in the web form, because it's super confusing to be presented with a message to enter valid values, even tho' nothing has been entered. I saw on other GeoNet postings that other users have encountered this, & that it will be addressed in a future release. Thanks for the help & quick replies!

Thanks for checking the expression & for the website to do so. That will be a great tool in the future. So the interesting thing is that in the published web form, the expression is working as intended, but in the form preview in Survey123 Connect, it allows 7 digits to be entered. So perhaps a S123 Connect bug?

Hello! I feel like I'm really close with the answer but hitting a wall. I'm using a regular expression to constrain values for a web-only form. The pattern required is 2 uppercase letters followed by 6 digits. Here's what I'm trying: regex(.,'^[A-Z]{1,2}\d{6}$') It almost works, except for it allows 7 numbers to be entered, and it needs to be only 6. Help? i'm sure it's a simple fix staring me in the face. TIA! 🙂

I also ran into this today. I'm developing a survey that will be accessed only via the web, and couldn't figure out why the input masks weren't showing. I need input masks for phone number, and license number. I'll look into regular expressions.

Hello! I need to overwrite a hosted feature layer but only the Append Data to Layer option is available? I looked through all the settings for this hosted feature layer and nothing seems to be different from the other layers I routinely Overwrite. I've looked thru GeoNet postings and did google searches to resolve, but came up empty-handed. Any ideas? I've never come across this before..... Thanks! ~Nikki Eiden

Just got off the phone with Esri Support. Going into AGOL and deleting the folder, and not just the feature service solved the issue. Incidentally, Survey123 was creating a new feature service each time I tried publishing, so there were several in the AGOL folder.

Hi! Thanks for your response. No I didn’t move anything, I was simply carrying on developing the survey like I had been for the previous 1-2hrs, and it all of the sudden started hanging while publishing, seemingly out of the blue. I did try deleting the existing service in ARCGIS Online, no luck.

Hello! I built a fairly straight forward Survey123 form and Previewed/Published without trouble. I finished up my work, and went to publish the form for the end user to review. Survey123 now hangs forever. I searched GeoNet and researched various fixes without luck. Also read thru a post about turning on logging but am stumped there too. At one point I received an OAuth2 error message telling me to copy and paste a GUID-like code. I'm publishing this to AGOL and not an on-prem Portal. Uploaded the xlsx in hopes a kind-hearted S123 whiz might take a look and lend a hand. Thanks! Nikki
