Hello Micheal, We're actually still running the flexviewer on a single 10.7.1 server install and are just starting to port those functions over to WAB after our migration to 10.7.1 along with funding approval for the project. My deadline is soft, a month or two so I feel I'm in good shape to make things happen or be able to explain the functionality differences and come up with alternative workflows to accomplish the same results. Thanks for your reply!! Everyone out on this forum is so willing to help when they can!

Robert, Let me take a closer look at the old flexviewer and get back to you. I think we were adding a relate to the attribute listing in the table on the fly. I'll know more in a few days and get back to you. I'm thinking that I might have to do the same and didn't get that far in the dev/config of esearch 2.11.

Robert, Thanks as always! I'm trying to rebuild the look and feel of the flex esearch for users in WAB. We will need to adapt, and adopt a little bit of a workflow change. Keep up the great work, many of us rely on your tools and expert knowledge and skill!!

Hello All, I am trying to figure out how to show relationships, or related data using the esearch widget. I have a parcel feature class that has a join to a table containing tax data and I also have a relationship setup to a table containing permit data 1:M, all done in an mxd that is being published. I can see the relationship in the service, have it enabled in AGOL to show in the webmap that is being consumed by my WAB 2.13 page with esearch 2.11. If I enable popups in the webmap I can select a feature in my WAB site, get the popup, and see the relationships at the bottom of the popup, and they show correctly when clicked on. I have setup esearch and have configured the relationship with the correct fields to show. It appears the only way to see these once a feature is selected in esearch is to have the esri table opening at startup, click/select the record in the esearch popup, then use the drop down on esearch to show relationships, they then show up in the table. I have esearch configured to load the selected data as an operational layer. Is there a way to get them to show directly from the popup without having to load the esri table to see them? I reviewed the live site to get an idea of how it might display if configured correctly but can't get any relates to show on the features there either. Thanks for any guidance!

Hey Robert, I am having an issue with ElayerList Version 3.7 (compiled) and the Export Map Task and Print widget. When I use the excludelayers tag everything works fine for printing first time around. As soon as I turn on a layer that are labels for owner names a bunch of layers no longer print (they are either sub annotation, or grouped layers in the Service). If I turn the labels off and print again, it still looses all the layers on the print. Those layers will not print again unless the application is restarted. So I've commented the excludelayers option out in the elayerlist widget and all my layers are printing out for now. I believe this worked correct at 3.6 with a 10.2.1 install. I've recently gone to 10.3.0 and am just now downloading 10.3.1 onto a development server to see if I can reproduce those results there. Here is a link to a test page showing that problem...Manitowoc County Advanced GIS Viewer Here is a link to the new page with the exclude layers commented out... Manitowoc County Advanced GIS Viewer Here is a link to the Service that has subgroupings being excluded. Web_MercParBaseSandBox (MapServer) You will need to zoom in to a single parcel to get all the anno to turn on, along with some other layers. Thanks! norm

Hi Robert, I was digging around in the config_Search Tools.jason doing some formatting and SQL query updates I didn't know how to apply in the WAB tool and found an option for "showattachments": null, (in esearch widget, WAB)? What is this and how do I use it? I've looked through the online help and can't seem to find it in there. I noticed it on the sample site but didn't see any data behind it. Question2, Will there be suppport for related tables in the future for the Esearch tool? this is how I currently get at related permit information for parcels using the flex version of the esearch tool. Thanks!-norm

Robert, I checked the version and I do have the correct version… thanks for that info! I was searching around all morning and had the manifest open and just skipped over that… I also checked line 198 and that checked out OK too. A ha! Renaming that widget to _old was the problem… once I removed that and restarted everything it worked great! I also switched out the esearch in my original site and made sure to have no reference to the _old and it also works great and I’ve now learned how to update those sites now. Thanks for all your Help! norm

Robert, I downloaded the new widget from the link, but I'm not sure I installed it correctly as I am still experiencing the same issues. My steps to install the new widget... 1. stop all WAB apps including the node.js - machine is now clean with nothing running. 2. go to the widgets folder in WAB and rename esearch to esearch_old 3. Download and unzip new esearch widget and place in widget folder 4. Started WAB and opened and existing project, new functionality did not work 5. Created new search, Functionality did not work 6. Created completely new WAB site 7. Added tool, configured, and the new functionality still did not work. Did I install the widget incorrectly, or possible get a link to an older version? thanks- norm

Hey Folks, Has anyone experienced a problem with formatting a field to contain a $ and the other formatting for numeric types? This is what the field looks like in the service side. ParAsmt_Final.NetTaxAmount ( type: esriFieldTypeDouble , alias: NetTaxAmount ) I can not check the currency Field Check Box at all, and can not maintain the check marks in the precision or Thousands separator check boxes. Should I be using a different type of Field? Thanks in Advance!

Robert - Both act the same… I was thinking that maybe the WAB might have problems and a download app would not but they act the same… I was also thinking the WAB app was developed with a https connection (somehow ESRI had me connected that way from the beginning, caused problems retrieving the initial service from my webserver, the app wanted to get it from an https server, have since figured this out and log in using http) to the development machine (local, not on the Inet), I have since logged in with just http and created a new application on the WAB and encountered the same problem, but haven’t downloaded it to the Server Serving the Services I am accessing… and is where the app will be deployed.. So I am developing local, accessing services from my webserver and AGOL, then downloading that app and loading it to my webserver then publishing. (good workflow?) It seems it should connect at the WAB level…

Good Day Robert, I'm having what I believe to be possibly proxy issues... with the ESW. I am running the latest WAB 1.0 that was just released. I've download installed and configured with out issue the ESW 1.1.0.1. (it sees my service, populates attributes, and updates SQL statements correctly with non-alias fields). When I run the tool and perform a By Shape, or Attribute query I immediately get the Search Failed window. When I track the request through chrome. It appears to go to my server and service, but fails to return anything, it looks like it is an invalid http request possible. Here is the message from Chrome. ------------ From a search by shape-------------- Error: Unable to complete operation. {code: 400, message: "Unable to complete operation.", details: Array[0], log: undefined, httpCode: 400…} Widget.js:1044 Error: Unable to complete operation. {code: 400, message: "Unable to complete operation.", details: Array[0], log: undefined, httpCode: 400…} ------------------------------------------------------------ This is the message from Fiddler on the same button click ---------------------- Response From Fiddler4------------------- --------------------- The Service I am accessing is public and draws in the web app, and the attributes show up in the ESRI attribute table. -Any ideas where to check? Thanks! norm

Hi Robert, I know your list is large and getting larger by the day I'm sure. One thing still lacking is a decent print widget. It would be great to have a way to grab the image on the screen along with the selected data and produce a single page image (property report in my case), but the use of this could be endless for all walks of GIS life. Thanks for all your great work! norm

Hey Stew, No, I resorted to using a screen scrape with all the tax data showing in a table... works but isn't as groovy as what we had back in the IMS days. I am thinking that I will trying to get some traction with this in the new web app builder. I see on this new geonet site Robert Scheitlin has posted a question as to what people thought was the most requested widget to build. Here is the link. What widget do you want most
