Just to refresh the visibility of this....any suggestions??? I am bit worried this is more of a limitation of the builder rather than me doing it wrong, especially with the final version coming out very soon.

So according to the WAB documentation widgets within widget pools are controlled by/displayed within controller widgets, both defined within the configuration files. What I am trying to do is use two controller widgets (sidebar and header), each displaying/controlling a separate set of widgets. I am trying to configure this at the theme layout config level but without much success. What happens is the config file will only accept one widgetPool item and both widget controllers will each load all widgets within than widget pool. I can't seem to figure out how to separate sets of widgets to display separately in the header and sidebar controllers, and each with different panel styles. I have played a bit with groups within the widget pool but that doesn't seem to work either - everything in the widget pool will still display in both controllers. Any suggestions/ideas?

Does anyone know how I could edit the options available in the pop-up menu of each layer in the layer list widget? I scrolled thorugh all the files in the widget folder and tried to figure if there is some sort of reference to somewhere else but I couldn't find anything. For now, I don't even want to add additional options in the menu, just take some of them out. I'm talking about this... ...say I want to remove Transparency, Move Up/Down, and Description from there.

Is there any official release date for this yet...at least a public beta? Has there been any announcement at the recent Dev Summit? At the Europe one back in November, it was announced a public beta will be out by the main Dev Summit in Palm Springs, with a final release in the summer. Can't see anything on the Beta Community site, except that JavaScript based ArcGIS WebApp Builder which will be available for public beta by the end of the week. ANYONE?! There must be at least someone from Esri watching these forums that have an answer to this. Also, the WebApp Builder was supposed to be released for public Beta on Friday, but it is still not accessible.

Edit: SORTED! The problems were caused by sharing options. Although the map was shared (to organisation or public), the same had to happen to the Feature Service from which the map was created. I am assuming it somehow tried to retrieve the layers from the Feature Service (which was not shared). This also solved the restrictions when using the Web Map in an application. It is a bit annoying though. If you create a map from a Feature Service, you should be able to set sharing options for the map only!

Hi there, I am currently using the 30 day trial subscription to test some of the ArcGIS Online capabilities. I have been using ArcGIS for Dektop 10.1 to create my map and then publishing it via a Feature Service. I then did some further adjustments to the look of the map directly within ArcGIS Online, and saved it as a Web Map. I can view the map just fine from my account, but when another user tries to view it, it always throws an error about not being able to add one of the layers to the map, and eventually none of the layers do actually load. I've been getting the same issue with multiple Web Maps created from published Feature Services, and, also for both users that have been added to the organsiation subscription, or external users in the case where the map has been made publicly available. Again, when I try to access it myself, everything seems to load fine (although I remember the very first time I opened the first map I created, it threw the same error). Consequently, when I try to build a simple web application based solely on the ArcGIS Online map (via the web map id), the layers won't load. I only get the basemap and multiple messages in the Firebug Console saying "You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation".
