Over the past year I've been doing some field data collection. I import all my new records weekly but this week when I go to import the report tells me zero records will be added. I can verify that the records do exist as I am able to access them in ArcPad, yet they still won't import. Any advice on how I can rectify this issue?

I'm using 10.1. Yes, I do have both of the add-ins installed. The feature to add centerlines appears to work properly but I still cannot get the add address site point construction tool to generate any address features.

The local government information model requires at least an ArcEditor license.

I'm interested in using the address data management map that goes with the local government information model and I'm running into an issue. When using my local data or the sample data I cannot seem to get the add site address point construction tool to create any features. When I place my point on the centerline and at the address location I double click to finish and then nothing happens. I'm not sure if this is some error on my part or if there is something not set up right in the application itself. I'm using ArcEditor 10.1. Thank you in advance, Matt

Is it possible to format a field that was created and calculated in a model so I do not have to manually format it after the model is ran? My model does an acreage calculation and I would like it to calculate to only two decimal places. It currently defaults to six decimals. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When attempting to save a new model I receive an error that states "An error occurred trying to save the object named <Name of model>" Any ideas as to what might be causing this? I recently installed service pack 1 so that I could open the .lpk with the local government information model. Could there be some issue with that?

Under the Labels tab change the Method from Label all the features the same way to Define classes of features and label each class differently. Click on the SQL Query. In the Select Box just add "Name" IS NOT NULL and click OK (you can rename this from Default by choosing Rename). Make the Label Field = Name Then click Add (to add a new class). Name it. Click the SQL Query and in the Select Box just add "Name" IS NULL and click OK. Make the Label Field = Number. That should do the trick. Thanks, Joshua. I started to get on the right track with using SQL, but you put me over the edge. I appreciate it.

I need to label some features the following way: Label by field "Name". If "Name" is null, label by field "Number". I would like to label one feature using two fields. If the first field (Name) contains a null value I'd like to label by a second field (Number). I've been trying different thing with expressions but I'm not all that familiar with VBScript or JScript. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I created a model that runs just fine when I run it within model builder. My problem arises when I try to execute the model from the toolbox. All the processes run and there are no errors returned, yet I receive no output. Any suggestions?

I fixed the issue with the "Add Field" portion of the tool. I still cannot figure why I'm not seeing my Shape_Area field in the field calculator though.

I am creating a tool that calculates the percentage of a parcel that each soil type within the parcel takes up. My tool starts by selecting a parcel by parcel number then clips, dissolves by soil type, and should be adding a field for me to calculate the percentages in. The tool runs fine through the dissolve, but after the add field tool runs I receive no output feature. Also, I've noticed that when I run the field calculator after the dissolve I'm not able to select the shape area field in my calculation. Is there some error I am committing?

I'm using the Ohio South State Plane System. My AOI is Lawrence County Ohio. You may be on to something with the area being calculated in a static field and the geometry changed. The parcel shapefile was created by a third party before I was hired and our engineer's office (i'm in the auditor's) has been updating it using CAD. I'm sure there was a lot of "the shape is right, now make it fit" thinking going on. The amounts I'm off by seem rather extreme though. The original value did come from a ground survey. I changed to an equal area projection but there is no change in the total area of the parcel.

It varies. There seems to be a correlation with the size of the parcel but I haven't determined if that's the case or not. My data frame is set to display feet so I assume the units in the area field are square feet. I've just been using the field calculator to divide the area field by 43560 in order to get the acreage. The parcel I've been testing this with should have 117 acres yet when I add up the total acres of the soils on the parcel I only come up with 88.

I am attempting to derive the acreage of soils that are within the boundaries of a parcel. I've been clipping the soils to the parcel I'm interested in and using the shape area field for the clipped soils in order to calculate my acreage. The problem is that when I add there results together I end up with an acreage that does not match the acreage I have for that parcel in the original survey. Am I going about this the wrong way? I'm also looking to create a model where you select the parcel you want and I comes up with the acreage for each soil within that parcel. Any tips for that would be appreciated.
