I'm not sure how many of you have learned how to read maps using books and regular paper folding maps. When I was a teenager, the Thomas Guide maps were my favorite to use. When I was learning Geography in college, I was introduced to Goode's Atlas. Prior to taking intense courses in Geography, I became familiar with Google Earth. Then, there was this company called ESRI that put something together called ArcGIS. When I started to figure out layering in maps, I became amazed. I knew prior to utilizing ArcGIS, that GIS can be used in any industry. It is a useful tool and I hope to put it to good use to help others.
