I've created two user accounts(U1, U2) on pythonapi.playground.esri.com. I would like to perform cloning, is it possible? I've added content on U1, and I want to clone the U1 content to U2. I've also created a group in U1 and added the U2 as a member, also gave access to the U1 content, but while I'm performing the cloning I get the following error is it because these user accounts doesn't have the admin privilege? does this pythonapi.playground support cloning. Error: You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation.\n(Error Code: 403)', None

Hi, Thank you for the detailed info, its really useful. My basic requirement is i want to implement overlay analysis using Javascript API, i found out that there is a dependency of Portal for arcgis for implementing the same. OverlayLayers | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript So I've decided to write a python script for this purpose, and all my process has to happen backend, so there are no parameters declared, data is directly read from SDE/GDB/.SHP. Now once my GP service is ready, i want to implement this using a Geoporcessor object in Arcgis Javascript Api. And all this process should take place on a button click for a web application. I'm stuck with the GP service.

Hi Dan, Thank you for your quick reply, I looked into the example. and here is my code below. import arcpy array = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) # A list of features and coordinate pairs feature_info = [array] # A list that will hold each of the Polygon objects features = [] for feature in feature_info: # Create a Polygon object based on the array of points # Append to the list of Polygon objects features.append( arcpy.Polygon( arcpy.Array([arcpy.Point(*coords) for coords in feature]))) # Persist a copy of the Polyline objects using CopyFeatures arcpy.CopyFeatures_management(features, "c:/geometry/polygons.shp") As my array is a parameter that expects the value at runtime, what would be the datatype to assing in the tool.

Hi, We have a print module implementation in our project, and below are requirements. • Output should have Main map and an Overview map • Main Map will be zoomed to different scales(1:500, 1:1000, 1:2000, etc.) w.r.t queried features, the corresponding Overview map should be displayed at a fixed scale(1:5000). In crux the Overview/Location map should be at fixed scale, though the main map changes its scale randomly. We tried with ArcMap data frame properties. (Automatic, Fixed Scale, Fixed Extent, Other Data frame ). Your suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks & Regards, Srini.
