Hello All, I have a WAB app v2.18(customizations using Dev Ed.) deployed to a webserver that contains a web map in Enterprise Portal 10.8(different server) shared with everyone(tried sharing with organization first). I registered the app and included the app id from Portal registration. I also set the appropriate redirects. When I enter the app url containing the FQDN of webserver the 1st prompt states to "Please sign in to "myportal"" and after clicking on "OK" the 2nd prompt displays the standard Portal login via Enterprise or AGOL Credentials (app wants to access your "organization" account information). We are using SSO w/ADFS. Is there a way to eliminate the 1st prompt? We only need one prompt and preferably the standard Portal login screen so a user can click on Enterprise login to login vis SSO and the app launches. We prefer having the app on a different server. The app works fine I just need to eliminate the 1st prompt. Any ideas/suggestions? I have tried customizing the web.config file on the webserver, hiding the prompt using css does not help as it needs to perform verification for SSO, I have searched for the first prompt ("Please sign in") in all WAB files for the specific app, and I have googled for "esriOAuthSignInDialog". Thanks in advance for any leads.

Robert, Yes, that is correct. I tried adding a standard basemap from AGOL(after reading content from another link) and then configured the widget to add other maps and no luck...adding a featurelayer did not help either. I tried both public and private services. I tried adding the services just in the config as I do not necessarily need to use the GUI in development for this part. Is what I want to do possible? I thought it was as simple as removing the map info in the config and adding the js code as in JS API 3.x...but guess not. If I remove the itemId, map options, and portal info from the config file then the default map still displays but just at a different map extent. Thanks for your help.

Robert, I added my spatial reference in JSON format but no luck. I also looked at the files and saw that the SR for my area is in the wkid list. I tried to also enter the URL in the Edit Basemap Layers and I get the error "Different spatial reference with current map" since the map on launch is still the ESRI topo map/default. Any other ideas? I will start from the beginning again and see if I still have the same results. Thanks in advance.

Robert, Thanks for clearing things up...and I read the other posts...I now see the widget amongst the others where I can now configure it to add layers or basemaps. However, the basemap I have in the parent config file for the widget does not load. I see in the dev tools that it needs my spatial reference for my basemap(instead of the default). How/where do I add my spatial reference? Do I place in config as "spatialReference": mySpatialReference,? Thanks!

Hi Robert, First thanks for letting me know this was out there. Secondly, I could not get this to work. I placed in stemapp/widgets folder and edit the config to renamed widget. I've started/restarted several times and cannot get the widget to show amongst other widgets. Third, as I think about it I am not sure that this is going to work as I do not want the user to click on the widget to execute the code. So in the completed app the user on launch of the app would see the basemap and layers automatically without clicking on a widget. Any suggestions? If I could get the widget you are suggesting to work...is there a way to execute it on app launch? Thanks in advance!

All, Where would I add mapservice/featurelayer urls to load on startup in WAB Developer Edition 2.5/2.7? I've tried to alter the MapManager.js/utils.js files(_show2DWebMap, _createWebMapRaw, createWebMap) but I assume it needs the portal Url, webmapid, etc.. I can manually place an id(from AGOL) in the config after creating an app and create a custom widget that when clicked can load the layers onto the map. However, I would like by default when I create apps in WAB Dev Ed to load my custom basemap without using a map id from AGOL. Also, for specific apps I need layers loaded onto that map(layers vary). I have done this using JS API 3.x but would like to incorporate into WAB. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Robert, If I close the widget and re-open to use, the widget is no longer functional. If I wanted to re-use the tool n times after it is closed, is there another suggested workflow to implement? Thanks!

Robert, My 1st response with code didn't make it through I guess...apologies. startup: function () { ... tmp = this.own(on(myMap, "click", lang.hitch(this, this.on_myMapClick))); ... } onClose: function() { console.log('onClose'); myMap.graphics.clear(); //console.dir(myMap); //console.dir(graphicsLayer); if(graphicsLayer) graphicsLayer.remove(this._myMarkerSymbol); myMap.setInfoWindowOnClick(true); tmp.remove(); },

Hello All, I am trying to get a custom widget(CW) to work that uses a map click event. The widget works as standalone but if also using the OOTB measurement widget(MW) I get weird behavior. If I use the OOTB MW before I use the CW then I get expected behavior for both tools. However, if I use the CW followed by the MW, when I close the CW the symbol it uses is cleared from the map but when using the MW the symbol replaces esri greenpin, the line segments disappear on dbl-clicks, and when MW is closed, the CW symbol remains. Any ideas on how to resolve other than re-implement the OOTB MW(and I did not want to edit the OOTB MW code)? I thought by using onClose() in CW to remove graphic/clear map would resolve since graphic was removed(but looks like both widgets are bound to event). Thanks in advance, Mona

Problem: Mimic the living atlas layer in AGOL that displays alerts/warnings to users. Using geoevent extension to feed NOAA data since layer in AGOL cannot be referenced or copied and placed in mxd. I have created an input connector that uses RSS feed for weather warnings/alerts. Since I am new to this...I am trying to figure out what I need to create geoevent definition and if this schema matches what I would create as attributes in the mxd. Does anyone have experience they can share? I am reviewing tutorials and slowly making progress...any help is appreciated.
