I edited and saved metadata for a custom Python toolbox and all individual tools as seen here: I want to export the .xml metadata files to a separate metadata folder to make sure the info is in a backed up location. After exporting the .xml files, ArcGIS Pro does not seem to properly read the file. I opened the .xml file in Notepad and it looks like the metadata are stored there, but the metadata viewer in Pro just shows a blank metadata template. Anyone else run into this issue?

Our organization could really benefit from this functionality as well. We currently have field biologists collecting species lists at survey sites and this would be a game changer.

Upvote for grid layout to be supported in the Survey123 web app. Would like to switch over some Microsoft Access front end forms and this is essential for user friendly/visually appealing forms.

Is there a way to query a feature service layer for features that include attachments in ArcGIS Pro? I've seen suggestions for doing this in AGOL and I'm sure I could figure this out for the backend enterprise geodatabase, but I didn't find anything on querying a feature service layer to display only those features with attachments.

I'm building a web app that allows users to input their planned field survey areas for the upcoming season. It is built from a feature service that displays the completion status of all potential survey areas, like this: I do not want all of these options to show in the legend or smart editor widget in the web application. I changed the symbology in the web map to be single symbol and it looks like this: However, when I bring this into the Smart Editor widget or when I open the edit tab in the web map, all three options come back: Is there a way to change this so it only shows one feature without the options WITHOUT editing the symbology of the feature service?

I use a tool within a custom Python toolbox to set definition queries on multiple layers that have similar schemas that I need to filter for additional processing. Here is the execute() part of the code for the tool: def execute(self, params, messages): # define parameters eoid = params[0].valueAsText specid = params[1].valueAsText aprx = arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject("CURRENT") m = aprx.listMaps("Map")[0] for lyr in m.listLayers("eo_*"): lyr.definitionQuery = "EO_ID = {}".format(eoid) for lyr in m.listLayers("CPP *"): lyr.definitionQuery = "EO_ID = {} OR EO_ID IS NULL".format(eoid) for lyr in m.listLayers("spec filter *"): lyr.definitionQuery = "SpecID LIKE '{}%'".format(specid) I've been using this tool for years with no issues. Lately, the tool has been failing with the following error code: NameError: The attribute 'definitionQuery' is not supported on this instance of Layer. It will apply the definition query on some of the layers, but not others and seems inconsistent for which layers the definition query is applied. Here's a screen clip of the layers in my Pro project: Anyone have any ideas for why this is happening, but didn't seem to be an issue in the past? This looks related to the issue here: https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/the-attribute-name-is-not-supported-on-an-instance/td-p/1061506 but these layers do support definition queries (either manually or in the past when it worked through Python). The layers are from feature services. I'm currently using Pro 2.9.5 and also tested in 2.9.0. We are currently dealing with another bug that is prohibiting us from upgrading to 3.0.

The spatial reference for the map projects and the features service is a custom Albers projection that we use for most of our in-house layers. I just tried to save a map project with a the pre-defined coordinate system to make sure it wasn't the custom projection mucking things up, but that did not solve the issue.

Since upgrading to ArcGIS Pro 3.0, features from feature service layers from our organizational map server are not displaying in saved Pro projects. When opening a saved project, the feature service layers are visible in the Contents pane, and the attribute table can be opened normally, but the features are not visible on the map. If the the feature service layer is removed and re-added to the saved project map, it is still not visible. This occurs with Projects created prior to the v3.0 upgrade and those created after. Feature service layers display fine if opening a blank project. This is consistent across all those in our organization who have upgraded to v3.0 Is anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas about what could be going on?

We have a sidebar that includes some instructional text and a category selector that allows a user to choose their ID and display their records. The category selector displays properly on computer screens. However, on smaller tablets that are not big enough, there is no way to scroll to the Category Selector and it is no longer available for use. It would be great if the category selector could be available on smaller screens like tablets or phones. Is anyone aware of any workarounds for this?
