Great, thank you! The opacity trick works like a charm.

Hi, I'd like to use the AGSMapView method identifyLayers() to determine what features are at a user-tapped map location. However, I noticed that only visible layers (whose isVisible property are set to true) return features. Is this the expected behavior? In my case, I'd like to use identifyLayers() to get features from "invisible" layers (whose isVisible property are set to false), but the closest I can get to this behavior is to set all layers visible, and reset the layer renderers and disable layer labels. Unfortunately, resetting the layer renderers and disabling the layer labels doesn't hide the intrinsic layer features, so the layers are visible. Is there a way to use identifyLayers() to get features for map layers that aren't visible?

Hi Richard, thanks for your reply. The labels are on Polygon features, I believe. In my code I set the LabelPlacement property to "esriServerPolygonPlacementAlwaysHorizontal", and the type property to "esriTS", as the labels are text symbols.

Hi, I noticed that after updating from ArcGIS iOS SDK 100.6 to 100.9, map labels behave differently. In 100.6, my app displayed labels at specific points on the map. As the user panned the map, those labels stayed in their fixed points and moved relative to the map -- in other words, as the map was panned left, the label moved left; as the map was panned right, the label moved right. In 100.9 however, the labels now move themselves so as to stay centered on the screen, even as the map is panned. Is there some new property that I can set to make the labels behave in the way that it behaved in 100.6?

Hi everyone, does ArcGIS Maps for Power BI support dynamic data updates? I know that location data from a Power BI dataset can be visualized on an ArcGIS map, but if that dataset is changing in real-time, does the visualization update itself as the real-time data changes? Ultimately, I'd like to have a Power BI dashboard with ArcGIS Maps ingesting real-time ArcGIS data. My understanding is that this capability is currently not available, based on correspondence with Esri Support. However, using Power BI's real-time data streaming support (e.g., Real-time streaming in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs), there are ways to push real-time data into a dataset. If I were to push ArcGIS data into a dataset that's linked to ArcGIS Maps for Power BI, would those dynamic data updates be reflected in the visualization?

I'm developing an app using version 100.2.1 of the ArcGIS iOS SDK. From my testing using simple (non-custom) callouts, it appears that the callout can only display static data while the callout is being shown. Is there a way to have a callout display real-time data that changes while the callout is open, for either non-custom or custom callouts? For example, suppose a user taps on a stock symbol, causing a callout to open. The callout displays a stock's current price, and the price changes while the callout is open. It would be great if the user could see the new price and not worry that the information is stale. Can the callout be made to update its display to reflect the changing stock price in this scenario?
