I am attempting to make an add-in for ArcMap that uses an embedded Chrome browser using CefSharp. The project builds successfully but when I try to open the form with the browser I get error: An unhandled exception of type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' Could not load file or assembly 'CefSharp.Core.dll' or one of its dependencies. From the CefSharp documentation I have made sure of following: -set to build x86 rather than AnyCPU -Visual Studio C++ redistributables are installed and up to date -using frameword 4.5.2 -checked that all required CefSharp files are in bin The only other discussion I can find on this is here I am not familiar with the Assembly.GetManifestResourceStream method or creating a wrapper to preload files. Before going down that rabbit hole wondering if someone else already had a simple solution.

Cody, I also wondered about the IT aspect. The imagery/overviews/gdb with mosaic are all sitting on NAS drives (which always seem to cause hidden issues). So I copied the overviews folder and mosaic gdb over to a local drive, but got the same issue. I extracted a small area (~75 images out of 9200) and did not have the problem. Going to extract a larger set to see if I can reproduce. If not am going to just start from scratch and rebuild the entire state for both years using some of the settings you listed above that I had different. We are able to work around the issue, really only need the 2012 when zoomed in to source image level. If I am able to find a solution will post it. But going to take some time to get through it. Thanks for your help.

1) 10.3 2) yes preprocessed and edgematched. both years are tiled the same 3) Do you mean the resampling method? Bilinear Interpolation. If something else I used all the defaults. 4) Footprints calculated. But Always Clip to Footprint set to No 5) No Data value not defined 6) Clip to Boundary set to Yes 7) No. They are in the same state plane zone, but have different Datum (D_NAD_1983_2011 vs D_North_American_1983) a) Add 2012, displays at all scales. Then add 2015, both display at all scales initially. But after zooming in/out a few times the 2012 will show checkerboard at all overview levels. Have not figured out exact trigger of when it stops displaying. 2012 will still display when you zoom into actual image. b) Yes if you reverse the order 2015 has the problem. So issue does not appear to be with a specific MD, depends on order added.

I was thinking if pyramids existed it would use those, otherwise the overviews would just process more levels. There are 8000+ images so I was hoping I could get away without processing pyramids for all of them. My next action is to extract a subset and process those to see if pyramids

I created a mosaic dataset with overviews for 2012 tif images and 2015 tif images that cover same area, are indexed the same way. The mosaics are in different file gdb. When I add either mosaic by themselves into an mxd all levels display correctly. But when I add both of them one will not display any overview levels. Zooming in will display the actual image. 2012 had pyramids built before mosaic was created. 2015 does not have pyramids. I ran Calculate Item Visibility on both, also tried increasing Maximum Number of Rasters per Mosaic. Didnt help.

Was using Visual Studio Express 2010 with 10.1. With upgrading to 10.2 also moving up to VS Express 2012. But when I open a add-in projected in VS Express 2012 and try to debug the add-in does not get installed. I updated the options file to point to the 10.2 exe so ArcMap opens when Start Debugging is run. Also updated target version in the config file. Creating a new add-in project in VS and running debug starts up arcmap and installs the add-in. So I assume there is just some setting somewhere I need to update in my old add-in projects to get it to install when debugging. Thanks Michael Nelson

On the Enhanced Search Widget with the userlist is it possible to have values with commas? For example: userlist="Doe, John, Smith, Jane" Want to treat this as 2 entries rather than four. Have not been able to figure out the syntax to embed the comma. Wondering if this is not possible in xml since it is inside the <value> tag. Thanks. -Michael

Robert, I saw that you made updates to your eSearch widget yesterday. Will you be making a compiled version available? Or am I missing something on github? Thanks for your work, tools work great. Michael

Good call. I tried that today and it is now doing the update. I had not been always changing version number. Not the best practice but was just for in-house use.

We are creating an Add-In for each of our projects and placing in a directory on a server. Then users can point to their project directory through the Add-In Manager to just automatically load in tools. It seemed in previous versions of ArcMap when updates were made to an Add-In I could just copy the new .esriAddIn into the directory and restarting ArcMap would update the tools. Starting around 10.0 sp3 or sp4 and continuing with 10.1 users need to remove their Add-In directory, restart ArcMap to make sure it has been removed (sometimes have to remove twice), then re-add the directory. Does anyone know if something changed in how Add-Ins are loaded?

I have answered my own question. Created a little tool that will give information about the selected features. But if I have not started an edit session values for each feature do not show up. I can start and stop an edit session and it work fine, so you dont have to be editing. Im guessing there is something easy I need to initialize. Or perhaps I need to get the features differently? Dim enumFeat As IEnumFeature = Nothing Dim selFeat As IFeature enumFeat = My.ArcMap.Document.FocusMap.FeatureSelection selFeat = enumFeat.Next Do Until selFeat Is Nothing MsgBox(selFeat.Value(selFeat.Fields.FindField("Field_Name"))) selFeat = enumFeat.Next Loop

If a feature class is participating in a topology layer you cannot rename or delete. Have to remove from topology first. Is someone else using the data and causing a lock? There might be a better way but I always run a compact and the error message will give the computer that is holding the lock.
