Hello guys, right now i have the same problem. Trying to configure a simple "custom widget", after creating an application, it is impossible to change the values in its config.json after copying the application. it would seem that the only way to change a setting of a custom widget is to do it in the global configuration of the application. Is this really this? I hope not, because the global configuration grew rapidly while creating an application and thus became hardly maintainable. Surely there is something wrong with my procedure. Is there anyone who could help me, with a suggest? Another topic is, I don't understand is what the scope of the config.son file inside the "resource" subfolder, would look like the same config.json file present in the application root folder. I'm working for a client who wants a custom widget that can change the parameters inside. There could be more solution to solve this problem but more complex than to change directly a paramter in the custom widget config file. Thanks in advance m

Hi Jamie & Chris Very interested in this topic, I'm trying to build a simple "CoreHost" application that runs on a Linux ArcGIS Server. The first question is: is it possible to do this? The first problem encountered after successfully compiling and running a "CoreHost" application on Linux is to encounter the message similar to this "Could not find 'ArcGIS Pro'. I think it is necessary to fight with the "wine" emulator, but I don't know how to do it. Is it possible to have some deep information on this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Writing a simple script in ArcGIS Pro, like this import arcpy """The source code of the tool.""" fc_orig = arcpy.GetParameter(0) fc_origkey = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(1) When i run it in ArcGIS Pro i can interact with layers in the TOC and observe the list of field in the combobox change the values as aspected This beacuse the tool properties are set, as visible in this other picture But when the same tool it was published as "web tools" in the portal we have a corrisponding tool that doesn't have the same behavior. In effect the second filed (combobox) doesn't update the values when the first combobox change layers, in the TOC as it happens in ArcGIS Pro? Hoping i was clear i waiting for an idea. Thank you in advance max

Hello John, I hope that after 1 year and half someone had made a tool to backup a dashboard from a portal to another portal, because it's not always possible to clone directly connecting to more envinronment simultaneously, but could'be usefull make this operation for example creating a package from source envinronment and then import this package on the target envinronment. Do you know of a solution like this today? thank you m

Hi, I'm following this "Custom Widget" sample from https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/widgets-custom-recenter/index.html#1c But when i try to run this example in chrome i'm getting ths error: (index):198 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Class constructor Recenter cannot be invoked without 'new' at new d ((index):198) at index.html:69 I've notice that if i replace the "js" generated from my tsc with js in the example everything run correctly. In attach its possible to see my Recenter.js generated after Recenter.tsx compilation. (It's possible to see the difference with the original in the example) during compilation, everything is succesfully done. (I've the latest version of Node and Typescript) Is there any incompatibility with the versions? Thank you in advance. m.

Hi I'm trying to use the following example, about oauth2 authentication https://developers.arcgis.com/net/latest/wpf/sample-code/authenticate-with-oauth/ running this example without changes and after pop-up authentication, i can see every items that i've published inside my webmap (basemap + a portal feature layer) in a private user and group defined for, when it was created the "application" OK I read that should be possible, to use a Client Secret and change this type of authentication. I would like to establish an authentication and authorization in background, by code, without an user interaction. Every one could me suggest, which line should be modified on code in the example, to make it? I've try to change the code in this way // If a client secret has been configured, set the authentication type to OAuthAuthorizationCode. if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(ClientSecret)) { // Use OAuthAuthorizationCode if you need a refresh token (and have specified a valid client secret). serverInfo.TokenAuthenticationType = TokenAuthenticationType.OAuthClientCredentials; serverInfo.OAuthClientInfo.ClientSecret = ClientSecret; } but, when i run the example, i see my webmap with the selected basemap but my feature service it doesn't appear. In the CreateCredentialAsync method, when "CredentialRequestInfo" is for my "Feature Layer" invoked i see that the token generated its already expired and i don'n know why, maybe this could be the problem, how to solve? I hope my problem it was well explained. Thank you id advance. M

Hi I'm trying to open a "Mosaic Dataset" stored in my geodatabase, but i can't I've used "geodatabase.OpenDataset<Type>()" method, but i don't know which type od Dataset i must to use to open a MosaicDataset. I've used "geodatabase.GetDefinition<Definition>()" method but i don't know which type of Definition i must use to get each MosaicDataset in my Geodatabase. The question is Could I have an example that shows how to open a "MosaicDataset" in a Geodatabase? Thank you in advance. Max

Thank tuo Rush, for your reply but I need to create feature layers or a mosaic layer only after choosing a subset of data from the geo database, by a query, loading in arcgis pro only a subset of my data. In pro-concept I only see authoring on all data already loaded in memory its correct? On the other hand I was hoping that the CIMSqlQueryDataConnection class had been designed to load only a subset of data from geodatase and then create a layer M. Hi, In the ArcGIS Pro 2.2 API Reference Guide i've found this interesting function "CIMSqlQueryDataConnection " but there are no examples of how to use it, i think that this function could be useful to search in a Geodatabase for a subset of data before loading them in the TOC of ArcGIS Pro. i've thought that this function could be useful to apply a Spatial Query or a Query on atttributes before create a Layer in the TOC. Did I get it right? Below a sample code and a behavior that i don't understand. internal static Task<CIMDataConnection> _QueryDataConnection01() { try { return QueuedTask.Run(() => { Geodatabase sde01 = new Geodatabase(new DatabaseConnectionFile(new Uri(@"C:\Users\mgeppi\Documents\ArcGIS\Projects\MyProject5\test.sde"))); CIMSqlQueryDataConnection sqldc = new CIMSqlQueryDataConnection() { WorkspaceConnectionString = sde01.GetConnectionString(), GeometryType = esriGeometryType.esriGeometryPoint, OIDFields = "OBJECTID", Srid = MapView.Active.Extent.SpatialReference.Wkid.ToString(), Dataset = "ParkFacilities", SqlQuery = "select * from [geodb].[dbo].[PARKFACILITIES]", SpatialReference = MapView.Active.Extent.SpatialReference, DatasetType = esriDatasetType.esriDTFeatureClass }; return (CIMDataConnection)sqldc; }); } catch (Exception ee) { Logger.logger.ErrorFormat("QueryDataConnection01 {0}", ee.Message); return null; } } i use this function after where "sqldc" is my preview function. FeatureLayer fLyr = null; //MapView.Active.DrawingPaused = true; fLyr = LayerFactory.Instance.CreateFeatureLayer(sqldc, MapView.Active.Map, 0, "Test"); I see that in ArcGIS Pro a new Feature Layer was Created as visible below But when i try to see the attribute table i'm getting this error and i don't know why. it would seem like a malformed query Then my question was, may i have more examples with right use of this class "CIMSqlQueryDataConnection" to make a spatial query or an attribute query before load data in the TOC? Thank you in advance. Max

Hi I've notice that each SOE is shutdown if its arcgis service isn't used for a long time. But I need to build a SOE to check every minute if a record in a table is changed. Is there a workaround to keep alive a SOE and ensure that it continues to run? I thought to create a thread to call the SOE through a REST method every minute, but i don't know if this is a good practice or if there is another solution designed direcly by "esri". thank you in advance.
