Yes, that mirrors my experience as well. What I'm trying to figure out is whether this is a logged issue that ESRI is working on or if I should report it. I can't see how this ok behavior, it makes no sense from a usability perspective. The whole point of tile layers is to display numerous features that you can't with a feature layer, because it loads much too slowly or drops features. If you offer that as a solution, it should work with ESRI's own widgets!

Is this a bug that's got a tracking number somewhere? It can't be that this is just the preferred behavior....a user of a web map has no idea what's a tile layer versus a hosted feature layer, and they don't care. They see a print document that's missing its legend. We have layers with tens of thousands of features, so we serve them as tile layers for efficiency, which is per ESRI's advice. What am I missing here?

Thanks, Ken, good to know. I guess another question is whether these updates happen on a regular basis or are announced somewhere I can bookmark? I didn't realize that an AGOL update had taken place, and there's no version number anywhere obvious (you've got to pull up the browser inspector and type wabVersion). So, we were set to start working on customizing an app and only when I go to work on it do I find out that I'm in the no-man's-land between AGOL and Dev releases. So, potentially our timeline will be delayed a few weeks. It'd be great to avoid this in the future. Is there any way I can plan for it?

The lag between version updates to AGOL and WAB Dev edition is causing problems with our workflow. I have the latest WAB installed locally (2.12 as of 7/16/19). Yet I cannot import an app built in AGOL to customize it, because the version is 2.13 --- which is not even listed as a current version on ESRI's release version page. When will these two again be aligned? It's impossible to plan work on a project when my app is held hostage in AGOL and there's no information about when Dev edition will be updated to match. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks. wab 2.12 #import app

Fair enough. There's a QGIS plugin that does the trick as well, I was just hoping to incorporate into a larger Arc workflow. Thanks anyway for writing up the module.

This is incredibly useful, I'm surprised that the concave hull concept hasn't been incorporated directly into Arc. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Pro. Do you have a version of this toolset available for ArcMap?

The print widget within webapp builder is labeling shapes drawn by the user with the Draw widget as "Override 1." It seems this issue has been a problem for numerous users in different scenarios, though I don't see this specific instance anywhere. How can the user give a meaningful name to the shape in the legend? This is a publicly available web app, anyone can reproduce the behavior: https://playalakes.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=d07e5d9dfba646ceaaa296d227cc38ba
